    Gorgeous!

    I received this journal as a gift, and have been writing in journals since I was about 8 years old, and none of them compare to this one. The gold embellishments add such a beautiful touch to this journal. The pages are a soft, creamy color that holds ink well. It has a bright red satin bookmark and a momento pouch in the back cover, where I like to stick pictures and letters. Just the old, worn, gorgeous look to this journal makes everything you write that much more precious. I'll never write in another journal that isn't by Paperblanks! I highly recommend this journal!

    Absolutely gorgeous

    This journal is, if anything, more beautiful in person than it is online. Thick, creamy, lightly lined pages hold ink remarkably well, and it seems sturdy enough. The gold beveling is simply beautiful, and the red ribbon marker is perfect. It has an antique feel to it and is well worth the buy.

    Traveled across the country- 5 times!

    This has survived many trips across the country in backpacks, bags, under my arm and more. I absolutely love the magnetic cover and the pocket in the back. Perfect with one of the flat pens.

    Good value

    The appearance of this item are just as described - but the 'foiled' part refers to the outside leather (not the pages.) There's also a handy pouch in the back for pics, ticket stubs, etc. Also my ribbon is nice and red.

    Classy Journal

    I love this journal! The pages have gold foil edges that complement the red and gold cover. They are lined and lie flat to facilitate journal entries. The journal has a red ribbon page marker, and a magnetized flap extending from the cover that wraps the book closed (like an envelope flap) and protects the edges of the pages. It would make a nice gift.

    Journal

    The best features of this personal journal are the pocket at the back, and the magnetic flap closure. The worst features are that there is no title page at the beginning where the start date and finish date can be listed, and there is no place to list page numbers.

    The journal has a good look and feel, and is a good size for carrying along and writing notes in your lap. In low light settings, it is difficult to see the lines for straight writing, but in the good light, that most use for reading, the lines stay comfortably out of the way.

    The cover holds up very well and does not show scratches.

    Perfect for your Life story!

    This journal is perfect for the autobiographer at heart. If you want a nice book to write about your life and experiences and maybe even magick than this is the book for you!

    To nice to really use

    I love having one of these journals but they look so nice that I fret about what I write in it becuase I'm afraid that I would waste the page. :sigh:

    Detail lacking

    The copies I looked at did not have foil edges and the ribbon was unimpressive -- a drab grey. This journal appears nicer online than in the hands -- I was disappointed.
