This book light was a bit disappointing. It doesn't adequately light up both sides of the book so that you have keep moving it depending on which side of the page you're on. I wouldn't recommend it.

I like that the light is bright enough to read but not so bright that it lights up the whole room. Perfect for before sleep reading.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This light is okay if you're reading a hardcover book, however it's more difficult to position and maneuvre when trying to read a paperback. The switch to turn it on and off is very difficult and sometimes took two hands - one to get a good grasp on the light so that you had enough leverage and strength with the second hand to push the switch to the on position. The flexible arm is not long enough in my opinion and no matter how many times you get it curved to just the right position, it slowly begins to uncoil back to it's original shape before you adjusted it and then you have to stop reading and start all over again. The light is supper bright if you look directly at it, so be careful. If I still had the receipt I would exchange it for a better one.

I wish it was a little more sleek so that I can use it for a bookmark too. Light and clip work well for my needs.

It fits in my purse and I can bend it and flip it around. It has a bright bulb that is perfect for the in the car or on the airplane when the lights are off. It is a great color (not too flashy). It has a clip that you can use to attach to books/pages or even the bed post. I like this booklight very much, it does the job.

The light looks good, is light weight and easy to position. Unfortunately, it casts a shadowy light that requires that the light be shifted to read an entire page. The shadow comes from the plastic that surrounds the bulb. The only practical way to read is to hold the light and move it around the page as I read. It also shines as brightly in my eyes as it does on the portion of the page I am reading.

I like this book light but I wish there was a cover for the top of it so it didn't shine back in my eyes.

I like the size and flexible neck but 2 2016 batteries cost about $6. I've spent more on batteries than on the light itself.

Moving in with my boyfriend, I had to find a way I could do my usual hour of reading before I fall asleep and without keeping him awake with a table lamp. I ordered the Serpent Lite and discovered that it does the job... a little too much. The light itself is extremely bright, making it difficult for your partner to fall asleep. But, it does cover a lot of page space, so you don't need to adjust it from the left page to the right page of your book. Another plus is the length of the adjustable neck. It really reaches over those particularly thick college textbooks.
Overall, it gets the job done, but I wouldn't order it again.

Because of the position of the LED lights, this device puts a very strong ray of light in the direction of he user's eyes, making it very uncomfortable to read.

I've been using book lights for years since my husband goes to sleep far earlier than I. I've probably tried 10 different kinds. This one isn't quite what I had hopped, none are, but I like the fact that it doesn't go through batteries every 4 days and for the most part it's bright enough. I use it more with my Nook than with regular books. It's not quite bright enough for a large hard back. It's good with paper backs and the Nook's size. My biggest problem with it is that it glares when looking down onto it and the Nook. I fixed this problem by cutting a small piece of black electrical tape to cover the top clear plastic portion over the bulb right in front of the on/off switch. This seems to solve the problem of the glare on the Nook's screen but it's easy enough to pull off when using the lamp with a paper back. I'm still waiting for someone to make a book light that lights well, doesn't glare, and the batteries last a sufficient amount of time.

I bought this for my Nook. I attach it to the cover I have for my Nook. Worked okay and liked it well enough. However, the light consistency was an issue. Come to find out that I added a small piece of a corner of a tissue to the battery area under the cover. This tightened it up and it works GREAT! Love it.

I bought this specifically to take on a recent trip because I like to read before I go to sleep and my roommate usually turns her light out early. This works like a charm. It's light-weight and works well on paperback books as well as hard covers. You can angle the lamp wherever you need it so it's also great for when you're in a hotel where you can't move the lamp on the bedside table or in an airplane when the overhead light doesn't quite hit what you're reading. I highly recommend it for anyone, even if you don't travel.

Seriously, I've had night lights that put out more light. If you are counting on this light for reading, you better have 20/20 vision. I returned it and got my money back.

The light was constructed in such a way that when the light was on it shone both on the pages of the book and also up into my eyes. I returned it promptly.

This unit clipped right on to my nook and the price was great. Unfortunately the lens is clear and the LED light is sideways so that half the light goes in your eyes and half goes onto whatever you're lighting. I like the adjustable neck and clip but can't use the thing without eye fatigue.

Purchased this light 4 weeks ago and the light now flickers almost constantly when I turn it on. The gooseneck won't stay put when you bend it and the light isn't strong
enough to see to the bottom of a paperback book.
A really disappointing purchase.

This light is very useful for reading in bed. Its flexible neck is very convenient and it clips easily and doesn't get in the way of the pages. It's great!!

I've tried other LED book lights. This one works the best. It provides bright light for two pages and adjusts easily to brighten where one's reading.
