This is great. Disregard the comment from'Reviewer, Math Genius' who doesn't know how to spell the word thieves! No wonder he couldn't look it up!! HA HA! Very handy unit.

Though English has always been the only language I've used, I still encounter words whose definitions I don't know. While reading, I like to look them up for future reference and to educate myself, but getting out the dictionary or even looking it up online can sometimes be an inconvenience, especially when nestled on the couch or in bed. Now, I can easily look up unfamiliar words in my own comfort -- I love this tool! The top sticks up above the book, but the rest of it is nearly as thin as cardstock and stays in the book just fine (I take it out and set it beside me when reading). Convenient, indeed! Incidentally, t-h-i-e-v-e is in there, and so is 'thief.' )

When I was reading the Lost Symbol I had to use it a lot, (being a beginner and all). There are a few things that was iffy:
1) the letters and buttons are sometimes hard to press and may miss a letter when typing a word and would have to start all over again
2) When putting the wedge in the book to use it as a bookmark and place it in one page, it will fall out you when open the book, so it is a good idea if you stick in various pages.

This unit fits well in the zippered book carrier I use. I also use it in my job helping students. They love it. For those teenagers who, for reasons of their own, hate to look things up in a standard dictionary, will jump at the chance to use something "electronic" to "play" with. The buttons are difficult to use at first but with continued use, I just got used to them. I like the capability it has when I start to type a word, it will continue it for me. This is my second Zelco Bookmark Dictionary II. My first one lasted a few years.

This electronic bookmark dictionary is really great to have while reading. I'm taking English and Psychology classes in college and I find it useful to carry one of this thing. I think that it would be a great gift for someone who goes to school.

Overview
It's a bookmark. It's a dictionary. It's a mini wonder of modern technology. This electronic dictionary puts over 130,000 words and their definitions right where you need them -- beside the book you're reading. Type in the word, and the definition (drawn from the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition) appears on the screen. The ultra-slim, flexible keypad allows it to also be used as a bookmark! The unique keypad clip helps to keep the bookmark in place as it sits neatly between the pages of any hardcover or paperback book. Looking up words was never so much fun!
