I decided on this case for my nook after much research and hemming and hawing over the style I wanted. I really like just being able to hold the Nook in my hand, without having the extra straps or tie downs in my way. I love that the case covers the Nook completely, fits snugly around the Nook, and it looks and feels great, too. Really stylish. I'm totally happy with it.

I received the Hutton Envelope in Bark yesterday. Pictures do NOT do it justice! It is very well made, and very sturdy. My Nook slid in and out easily, but did not move around in it. The magnetic closure is crisp and strong. The leather is heavy duty and I feel it is going to patina over time and use. The inside flap is of a faux suede material, but inside the "envelope" itself, it is a material that is more silky like, so your Nook slides in and out without snagging or having the remote possibility of leaving any scratches. It is a very elegant design, and as stated, it is certainly rich looking. The price, I thought, was a little steep. Maybe $10 less would be better, but I guess if you invest the money into a Nook you want the best protecting it. It's gorgeous.... I am very pleased. I would like to see a deep red come out in this style..... Would make me locate my Nook easier!! Thanks Barnes & Noble...!!

If you want a nook cover that will TRULY protect your nook...this is the one for you. My one wish was that they made the Hutton Envelope in a wider selection of vibrant colors (like the pink, but not pink). I ended up going with the Bark because of the fun green lining...even though I would have rather had the case in that green color. This cover works PERFECTLY to protect the nook from bumps, tumbles, scratches, etc while it hangs out in my purse or bag between readings. Some complain that you can't charge it while it's in the case--but to me having a totally enclosed case is a perk because it protects those delicate jacks in the nook from being damaged or collecting gunk in my bag. The case was a little snug the first couple times...but it is loosening up now. The leather smell of the Hutton Envelope is also a perk to me--it helps compensate for the loss of "new book smell" when transitioning to the nook from paper books. :-)

This cover is great, if you have no sense of smell. I am not talking a leather smell either. The manufacture put a rubberish type filler into the sleeve to hold its shape. This is where the smell comes from. It smells like someone dumped rubber cement into the sleeve, which will then transfer onto your nook if you leave it in there for a while. Had I not gone through so much trouble just to get this sleeve shipped to me, which took 4 weeks, I would have returned it. I suppose the only recourse is to purchase a different sleeve and let this one air out.

This was much better than I had anticipated. Very sturdy, well protected. I highly recommend. You won't be able to fit a skin on your Nook and then store in here with the skin on. It is a very tight fit with just the Nook itself

Ordered this case with the nook, and it fits perfect and snug, and the quality durable craftsmanship is exceptional! Very thick, quality leather.

We really like the simple, professional look this cover gives our nook. Makes it easy to take the nook while waiting for appointments and when traveling. My husband uses it more than I do so he preferred this more masculine look!

The Nook fits very snugly into the envelope and is completely enclosed ~ perfect protection for carrying it in my purse. After using this I have no desire to get any of the other covers ~ Why add weight/bulk to the Nook when the thing I love most about it is the sleekness and ease of one handed holding??

I love the Hutton Envelope. Originally I had the Bronte Cover in Storm that I ordered with my Nook and I enjoyed that cover but I found that I preferred reading my nook without a cover on it, and I often caught myself folding back the front flap of the Bronte cover back and I didn't like doing that to a nice cover so I decided to order the Hutton Envelope and I really like it. Great quality leather and a pretty green microfiber lining on the flap and a smooth satin material so the Nook slides easily in and out.

I have had my nook since my husband bought it for me for Valentine's Day. I absolutely adore it, but was so fearful about taking it with me anywhere because I didn't want to drop it or scratch the screen. I had been checking out all the different covers on the B&N site, but the one I wanted wasn't available yet. Finally - the Hutton Envelope was made available. To my surprise, I was able to order it with FREE shipping!! It arrived at my house in record time. Now, I can take my nook anywhere!! This envelope offers complete protection for my nook, unlike many of the other covers. It is a perfect fit and the magnetic closure works very well. I love the sleek look. I have thrown my nook (in the envelope) in my purse, in my luggage, tossed it in the seat of my car - I take it everywhere I go. I absolutely love this product which helps me to fully enjoy my nook. I highly recommend this product and am 100% happy with mine.

I love my Hutton Envelope. It gives me the security I need with my Nook as well as professional appearance I desire. The color Bark is great and it never looks out of place.

I was a little sceptical ordering this product on line. I usually like to make this kind of purchase in person. Since I was unable to do that I gave it a shot and ordered it on line. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the item. The quality is superb and I am constantly showing it off to others. It's strong, sleek and the leather quality is outstanding.
I would recommend it to anyone.

This review is for the Hutton Envelope, and it is very high quality, looks great, etc. Now they need to work out the quirks in the nook;low battery life, lock-up of screen, slow downloading of purchased e-books. Then all will be right in my world!

You cannot read your Nook in the case like you can with some other cases, but if you prefer to hold you Nook, and just need a case to protect your Nook when you are not using it, this is perfect.
