The pictures do not do this case justice it is just something you need to hold and feel. For any book lover this makes your nook just that much better as you get a very book like feel keeping your nook in this case more so than any other I have used. All the materials are top notch and this case seems built to last. The pictures however are not totally true the actual latching mechanism is very tiny compared to any other case sold for the nook, it is actually just a top clip and a bottom clip so it does not cover up this beautiful device but it feels more sturdy than any of the other cases I have tried including the designer lign. Another thing many don't notice is that the case also comes with a nice quality protective cover that slips over the case and the nook and can be sealed shut, a nice touch and a bit of extra protection. All in all absolutely no regrets!

Exactly what I was looking for and it is even more sleek and functional that I anticipated. The clips that hold the nook in place are extremely small and sturdier than what you see in the pictures provided on the website. I highly recommend this. I the clips keep the beauty of the nook visible and don't get in the way of any functions on the device. Buy this one with confidence.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. One cannot say, "The Perfect Cover" enough with this case. I will admit, I had an amount of trepidation with buying a case that, 1) was made of polyurethane, and 2) had that ugly, grey plastic bracket in the picture to secure the nook.
For starters, I was looking for a clean "a la Kindle-like" leather cover that did not have the bulky "pouch-like" holder seen in the other designer cover/cases. I did not want elastic straps on the top or the pouch to takeaway from the overall look of the nook. Additionally, what is a polyurethane cover???
Regarding the sample picture (4 of 6), it may be aesthetics or something, but even though you may not see that awful and cheap looking bracket when you are looking straight at the nook while reading, you know it is there by at least the extra thickness when you have it closed on the nook. Also, you can see it quite clearly from the side views on the top and the bottom. Did I say it is cheap and awful looking?
Anyways, I just received it tonight and I was initially - very surprised by the soft and supple feel of the exterior material and the suede-ish feel of the inside. Do not misunderstand, it is not leather. It is definitely a synthetic material that has a much less spongier feel than say a padded leather planner from Daytimer/Franklin Covey, but it is not cheap feeling. It is not black by any measure, but a very dark grey like road asphalt or I guess the color of a rhino (I am reaching).
The best part as I mentioned earlier is that it doesn't have that awful ugly plastic cradle bracket. When you first unpack the cover, you must slide it out of a clear plastic pouch and remove the styrofoam filler that is wrapped and secured on the inside of the case. When I first looked at it, the only thing securing this packing filler were single grey plastic clips on the top and bottom that sprout from inside the cover. If you look at the sample/demo pictures from above no longer is there a space eating ugly looking bracket, but two clips coming directly up and out of the case from where the picture shows that they attach to the sample nook. Looking directly at the bottom clip, it looks like a grey half-inch square of plastic that still leaves a little patch of black plastic on the left where it lines up with the grey plastic back cover.
As of right now, it seems very sturdy and barring me holding the left side of the cover and flailing the nook wildly like a lasso, I can't image it falling out. With that said though, as with any plastic piece, I would not recommend messing with clips on a daily basis. I can imagine there is a good number of people that will still want to accessorize with different color plastic nook backings, play with the mini-SD card in the back, or swap out their secondary nook battery when the battery gets low (please just buy a portable battery charger with the adapters that let you charge something else like your mobile phone). It wasn't hard to install, but then again I haven't tried to pull it out (correction: no problem, I just gently "unsnapped" the bottom clip (the top one was a little hard). Like I was saying, if you break the plastic clips , well you get the picture.
I wholeheartedly recommend this case. While the other designer cases are certainly better eye-candy, this is a simple, professional, and clean looking cover that allows you to clearly look at (or show-off) your nook without the distractions

So if you have a metal desk the nook will cling to it like a barnacle. It also is soft at the left side edge, so if you fold it back to read, it slides around, making it harder to hold. Minor quibbles, but had I known I would have picked a different cover.

Really a great, great cover. It has the same understated modern styling that the nook has, and it adds to the feel of reading with a nook. The nook alone gives you a few hand placement options, but this cover makes the device even more like a book in how you hold it.
The quality is really good, and though I was initially sort of skeptical about the tiny clips, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Compared to the designer line with straps and fabric at the corners, the clips give the cover a seamless, no distracting look.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I initially looked at this cover because it was, to be honest, the more masculine-looking one at an affordable price. My surprise was when I got to the store to buy it!
Not only does it look "manly", it's also very sleek and functional. The cover is made of a soft synthetic material that feels similar to the nook back cover, almost suede-like in softness. The pictures here show, probably due to compression, like the cover has some sort of rough texture, but it's actually smooth. On the inside it has a lighter-hued material, also suede-like but with more "nap". Nice, straight stitching all around, and has a nice detail with a cutout of the nook "n" showing a light-blue ribbon behind it. Pretty neat.
This cover adds very little thickness to the nook, but it is solid and really protects it. The coolest thing about this cover is how you attach the nook to it: it uses two clever plastic clips that attach to the holes at the top and bottom of the nook. No elastic straps or anything similar! And once it clicks in, it doesn't move around--the system is tight, with close clearances.
Finally, another nice detail is that you can easily bend back the front cover, making it very easy to hold your nook while reading.
Highly recommended!

After looking at all of the covers (many which are unavailable) I selected this one due to the simple design - it holds the cover using two small clips that fit into the upper & lower left slots that were used when the Nook was in the original packaging...no elastic straps to stretch or get in the way, no big pocket on the bottom to interfere with the lower window - just a great simple design. The cover is soft to the touch, stiff enough to protect and simply elegant. Nice job on this one.

I have seen all the covers listed here in person at my local B&N. This one is by far the best! It is fantastic looking and feels great. The front flap contours the sloped shape of the sides of the nook hugging the device. It folds back nicely and easily with no break-in period necessary. It actually has "new car smell" believe it or not, nothing at all unpleasant. You will not regret buying this case at all.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I just recieved my Industriell Cover in the mail today and it surpassed my expectations. The other reviewers got it right about the sleek design and luxurious look. I, too, was also pleased with the change in the way you hook your nook in. There are 2 clips (1 top, 1 bottom) that hook into the grooves on the top and bottom of your nook. The front cover easily folds back so you can read comfortably. Overall, a great product that deserves every single star. Don't pass it up!

This cover is one of the best they offer for the nook. It attaches via sturdy clips that fit into the indentions of the nook itself. No straps or bands to hold it in, and absolutely no slippage. The cover is made of a soft pleather that allows for a good grip. Moreover it has the feel of an actual book cover. The best thing about this is you can actually fold the cover all the way back without a bulge or bend on the crease (left side). The cover will mold itself to fit your around your nook over time. Personally, I like this. Though not as aesthetically pleasing as others, this molding actually helps to further protect the edge of your nook. And if you want to beautify it, it gladly accepts stickers or decals. I thought it would be cool to put on one of those "This book belongs to..." stickers on the the front. The inside of the cover is a soft, microfiberish/suede material that gives a lot of cushioning and further protection for you nook. Look, you spent at least $150 on the thing, spend $25 more to protect it. This is one of the cheaper ones they sell, and it is far superior to some of the more expensive ones. The only con, I guess, is that it doesn't have a pocket or anything. But are you really going to be using your nook to carry anything in? Isn't that what wallets and purses are for?

Wouldn't buy this again but it may have been the one shipped to me. The "clip" feature didn't clip my Nook so that it -the nook- would want to fall out of the cover. Thankfully I've a head on my shoulders and found a sturdy rubber band to hold together the covers of the Cover. Other than that I'd say the "Industriell" beats going to a crafts store, buying materielle and fabricating my own Nook coviere.

I'm looking into purchasing the easel Industriell Cover now for easier table reading. I bought the book style cover when I got the Nook. Love this cover, feels great in my hands, the top folds over nicely when I'm ready to read and my precious Nook stays firmly in the clips.
Line up the bottom clip to the Nook's bottom slot then make sure the top clip snaps into place. It's really easy to get your Nook into this protective cover.
I do have to struggle a little to unclip the Nook for whatever reason but I would rather have my Nook secure while I'm carrying it around and reading it so the struggle isn't a bad thing.
It's a classy cover for the classiest of all eReaders.

I love this cover. Your Nook attaches to the cover via sturdy plastic clips that clip into the little attachment holes on the top and bottom of your Nook. The clip mechanism is strong enough that I have no worries my Nook will slip out. I even held the cover by the front side that the Nook doesn't attach to and shook it and the Nook held in place firmly. The cover is simple which is actually why I like it. It makes your Nook feel just like a perfectly sized book when you hold it. Also not being flashy will not make your Nook stand out to potential thieves. The front cover that goes over your screen is rigid and will protect your screen from getting poked. I think there is a hard piece of plastic under the cover's skin. As others have mentioned there is a magnet embedded in the lower right hand corner of the front cover near the vertical "Nook" label. Not sure what purpose this serves but it is strong enough that I wouldn't want to put credit cards near it. As with most Nook items, you can always stop by your local Barnes and Nobles and take a look at it before buying if you are still not sure.

I am pleased to recommend this nook cover. While it doesn't have a quote on the cover or bright colors, it is functional and sturdy. The nook fits perfectly and is held securely by nearly invisible hooks. There are no pockets to impede the look of your e-reader and the cover folds easily behind when in use. And, with the very reasonable price, I don't feel like I have to handle the cover with clean white gloves.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. It's not fancy, it's not "designer", but it does what it does and does it well. The charcoal color is attractive and I like the matte finish. It genuinely looks more expensive than it is.
Some people have said it's got an odd "new car" or "vinyl" smell that lasts for weeks. I just sniffed mine; no problems to be found.
Again, as others have noted, the large curved thing on the inside is now gone. Only the two small clips remain. I was skeptical at first, but when I unboxed my nook, I realized my mistake. Those little clips hold your beloved reader more securely than you can believe. And unlike many other covers, the entire face of your nook is visible, not strapped in with elastic bands.
The little touches like the embossed nook logo and the tiny colored insert are pleasant without drawing too much attention. When I carry it into the office for lunchtime reading, it looks like a notebook or small day planner.
If I had a wish, it would be a tiny pocket for a screen-wiping cloth. But then you're defeating the whole "sleek and slim" concept of an e-book reader.
Overall, this is an excellent and reasonably priced cover for your nook.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. As others have mentioned, this cover is probably the best so far. It looks very different than the pics they have online, but still retains the simple elegance. Instead of a leathery look, it's more matte. The inside is also slightly fuzzy for device protection. The gianormous clamp has been replaced with 2 minimal tabs that keep the nook securely in place. Much much better than the elastic bands and pockets more expensive covers are using. The only other observable difference I've seen so far is that the green n logo on the inside is blue on mine. :P
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a cover. It's simple, clean, functional, and most importantly, doesn't cost $80.

This cover is the overall best design for the Nook and for one reason only: the clips. The clips offer true security for the Nook. There isn't any thought that the clips will expand and become loose around the Nook. After a while the cover actually begins to mold to the Nook! If you want a cover that is truly designed for the Nook, then this is the cover. I'm not trading my sense of security for pretty colors and elastic bands that over time will stretch and become less reliable.

I quickly realized that my Nook would benefit from some form of protective cover. Despite the full warranty, I really don't want to go through with the process to replace my Nook, so keeping it in perfect condition is the order of the day. To that end I looked over the choices and decided on the Industriell Cover.
First the drawbacks: The cover adds some size to the Nook, roughly doubling the thickness. This makes it slightly harder to put into tight spaces, but unless you have spot that's barely big enough, it shouldn't be a problem. The extra weight is not noticeable unless you plan to hold it in one hand at an awkward angle for an extended period (which I, of course, have done). The cover makes the Nook slightly harder to hold. Since the cover is easily detachable this also shouldn't be a problem unless you're as stubborn as I am and refuse to remove it. Finally, the cover does not offer complete water-tight protection. Hey, I know, I know, but I can always wish, right?
Now the benefits: The protection from scratches, falls, bumps while inside a bag, careless spills or those drops of liquid you don't see on the table is outstanding. A lot of people don't realize the value of the Nook, and are not as careful as I am with it. Having a sturdy cover on it at all times makes me much less nervous about taking it with me when I go places. I can put it inside a duffel bag and not have to worry that it'll be accidentally crushed. The cover also keeps dust and general dirt off the screen and casing, so I'm sure it will keep my Nook looking like new for much longer.
The bottom line is that I wouldn't have a Nook without some form of protective case. So far, my cover has protected my Nook from some unidentified liquid while it was on the lunch table at work, as well as when my cat walked on it (not sure if an 8-pound cat could hurt the Nook, but I don't want to risk it). Definitely get some kind of case or cover for your Nook. If you pick the Industriell Cover, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. And if you are, well, I can't hear you la-la-la-la.

It's simple, holds your Nook securely, and provides basic protection of the screen when you're not reading. Cover can be folded all the way around behind the Nook so you can still hold it and read with one hand without the cover being in the way. I like it!

I have been using this cover for about two months now and I love it! The nook snaps into place so the fit is perfect. The front and back fit closely to the nook itself so there is not any unnecessary bulk. There are magnets in the cover to help it keep closed when you are not using the nook. I also have tne Lyra book light for my nook and that fits right on while the nook is in this cover and the cover still closes perfectly. When reading, the cover can be folded all the way around so it is flat against the back if you like to read that way. The material itself does not cling to pet hair and wipes clean easily.
