I went in to my neighborhood Barnes and Noble for a cover for my Nook. I was disappointed that the one I really wanted was not available either online or in the store. The other one I wanted was just TOO expensive for me to justify. Especially after spending the money on the Nook already! I "settled" for the Industriell front cover because I assumed I would just go back and spend more later on when the new ones came in. HOWEVER, this one works fine, feels good and serves the purpose just fine. No need to cover the back, no need to spend over $100, no need for any of the foo foo that the other covers offer. It's perfect and I don't need to buy another one. It smelled a little funny at first, but that smell faded within a week. I love my Nook and this cover is the best bargain and the best quality one out there.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I have three different covers (the others are the Kate Spade and Bleecker covers) and the Industriell Front Cover is by far my favorite to use.
First, this is definitely the most streamlined and form-fitting case available for the nook. It maintains the nook's slim profile and adds very little to the overall size. I appreciate this as I use my nook on my daily commute so I carry it in my bag every day. My husband has the full Industriell cover with the back and even that adds more height and thickness to the nook than this one does.
Second, it's very easy to use. That may sound odd for a case, but what I mean is that the cover very easily folds all the way back behind the nook, and it's "grippy" to help you keep the nook safely in hand. I fold the cover back, it's still slim and comfortable to hold in one hand, and then you can just flip it closed with one hand, as well, in a pinch.
Third, it does exactly what I need it to do in protecting my nook. The back fastens very securely to the nook and the front cover is slightly weighted with a magnet so its inclination is to stay closed over the nook rather than flop open. As stated, I carry this every day and never once have I gone into my bag and found that the cover has come open. And the magnet has had no negative effects on the cards in my wallet after months of use, so in my experience there is no cause for concern with credit cards. The parts of the nook I want to protect are the bezel, touch screen and e-Ink screen which this does perfectly. The back cover is its own protection so I personally don't feel that it needs an additional cover. And our cat did once knock my nook off of the kitchen table onto the floor with this cover on and the nook had no internal or external damage.
Finally, I recommend this cover based on its aesthetic. Because it's so slim, it keeps the nook streamlined and looks very slick. Also, I have the different colored back covers and this cover lets them stay visible. The back covers look great on the nook, and is something that sets it apart from other e-Readers, so I like to let mine show. Plus, it gives a fun pop of color since the Industriell cover is a staid, deep grey. The front cover also wears very well. It's water resistant, spots easily wipe off and I've been able to rub out any scratches that occur with my fingertip.
As far as fabrication, the cover is completely synthetic. The front is slightly textured with some grip to it, the interior is a soft, sueded material and the back part that attaches is about a 1.5" piece of grey plastic which has fasteners that snap into the openings on the top and bottom of the nook. There is an initial plastic-type odor but that dissipates relatively quickly once you have it out of the package.

I was in New York and in a rush to get to a plane. I stepped into Barns and Noble to get a nook and bolt. The salesman told me about a lot of details of which I don't recall much, but he did insist I get a cover. I told him, "what would you get?". he gave me this one and since then all Kindle boys are broken hearted and it save my nook from my kids twice. So I recommend it as best price performance Nook cover. Also it will allow me to buy a cool back cover and let it remain visible.
PS - last, the install is something you can do while running to catch a plane :-)

It works great as it leaves the back uncovered and the ergonomic design is not wasted. Great product!

This cover adds the bare minimum of extra size to the nook while affording full protection to the front. It's comfortable to hold as a book and folds flat to the back (which I prefer). The cover clips on 'invisibly', unlike most other covers that have large straps over the front corners. It's grasp on the nook is very secure. Actually, it takes some determination to remove and it certainly won't come off accidentally.

I received my Industriell cover yesterday and it exceeds my expectations. The look and feel is that of very high grade leather. The inside cover looks like it will protect the screen very well. The clips were easy to use and although I worried I might not be able to eject my beloved Nook, it came out easily.
I do wish that there were clips on the right side of the cover - just my own anxiety about it not being secured on both sides. However, it has survived the "shake test" without coming out of the cover.
All in all - I highly recommend this cover. Great Cover - Great Price. I might even buy a second one to replace this if it ever wears out.

I love this cover. It is so slim and feels great in your hands, while reading. The only drawback is that they don't have a variety of different fronts. If they did I might be broke between buying books and covers. How about it B&N make more like this cover with different designs on the front.

I purchased this cover after returning a slipcase that fit too tightly to remove the nook easily. I am perfectly satisfied--it is sturdy, snaps on securely, provides good protection, folds back easily, and is comfortable to handle without adding bulk. For added dust/scratch protection and to keep the cover from opening in my purse, I simply slip the nook into the vinyl zip-lock bag the cover came in.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I was terrified of busting my nook. I layered it between padded things and practically never let it leave my bedside/chairside table. I tried to order the cover with the light in it, but B&N kindly decided not to ship it to me. However, once I found that I wasn't getting the lighted cover, this was my next choice. And, I must add, superior. I have a $5 clip light that clips to the cover when it's folded around to the back that lets me read in the dark. The cover itself doesn't extend around the back but rather connects to the small indentions at the top and bottom of the nook (I assume these indentions are there precisely for this purpose).
In any case, this cover is perfect. It completely covers the frame and doesn't get in the way once it's opened. I believe that I prefer it to the lighted cover that I was going to get, and it was substantially less expensive.
I unreservedly recommend this product for anyone with a nook. The only thing that needs to change actually doesn't apply to me. If I had the colored backings for the nook, I'd probably want a colored cover.
Also, I'm unaware if this covere will fit the nook if it has one of the silicone frame guards that I'm interested in getting.
If your nook is naked, get one of these immediately.

The cover has a great feel and provides adequate protection for the face of the Nook. The finish of the cover makes it feel like a hard backed book.

I love this case! Now I can stash my nook in my cluttered purse without worrying about scratches to the front. Also, I have a Pink Back Cover so this case is a great way to show that off! What would be the point of having my pink back cover if Im going to cover it up. I dont really mind that it only covers the front, so far I haven't seen any marks or scratches on the back at all so I dont mind it being exposed. This case isn't bulky or heavy, and i love that it snaps in place and doesn't budge (they did have a little space on the bottom that you can lift so it comes off easy when you want to take it off)no matter how messy my purse is or how rough we handle the nook.
I recommend this to anyone who has a colored back cover who doesn't want to cover it!

I LOVE my Industriell Front Cover for my Nook! I looked at all the ones available, and finally chose this one. It fits the Nook perfectly and doesn't have to come off. It is slim enough that it will fit in my purse easily. It feels really good to hold and folds back to make a single "page" that is comfortable to work with. I recommend it very hightly.

Really happy with this - attaches smartly to my Nook with clips rather than elastic bands or a sleeve/pocket. Most importantly, it adds almost no bulk to it! I looked at a variety of covers at my local BN and was almost shocked to see how most of them practically doubled the thickness of the device. It would be cool if this came in other colors, but the grey blends seamlessly with the back of the Nook and feels very secure. I would have given this 5 stars if not for a couple of small points:
1. Why in the world is there a magnet in the cover?! My guess is that this because this is the same cover that BN uses in the "easel" version - but magnets make me nervous (ruining bus/train passes, credit cards, etc.) and this one is a strong one! I'm seriously considering trying to cut it out of the cover somehow.
2. It would have been nice if there were a little pocket or thin sleeve on the inside to store bits of paper in (cab receipts, business cards, etc.)

I purchased this cover and found that it is an excellent front cover for my nook. It protects the screen and fits very securely. It will not come off very easily. My only complaint is that there is a magnet in the bottom front of the cover, and I can not for the life of me figure out why it is there. I only found it because I noticed my usb cable clinging to it when I went to pick it up. The magnet doesn't actually snap to any part of the nook. This might be of importance to folks who might store the nook in a purse or other place that might have magnet-sensitive items such as credit cards.

I've had this cover for over 6 months now and it stil looks brand new. I've since bought color decals for the front and back of my nook and this cover protects the front while showing off the decal on the rear and fits fine right over the decals.
The trim profile allows the nook to be tucked into a neoprene pouch for travel. It's not at all bulky to read with the cover folded back, I usually don't notice it's there.

I have been through two other covers and this is the one, the only, the best....do not hesitate. You'll love how thin it is and it still protects the screen.

I have two covers from B&N and this is by far my favorite cover. I love the slim profile and the fact that I can put a colored back on my nook or a skin and it will show. \
I agree with some of the other reveiws that different colors or patterns of this item would be welcomed. Of course, I could always consider putting a skin on the cover and see how that looks!

I did alot of searching for the right cover for my Nook. I wanted something that looks nice, is easy to use, doesn't add too much bulk, and opens like a book. I even went out of my way (about an hour) to look at the covered before ordering online.
I love this cover because it meets and exceeds my requirements. My Nook is secure and will not fall out of the cover (unlike the ones with elastic straps that might get caught on something or wear out), but is still easy to get off. And to top it all off, it was the cheapest one. :)
I highly recommend this one to any person who is unsure about what to get.
