The cover was decent though I would have preferred a case that closed completely instead of just a clasp, I couldn't stand the new clip system. I do a lot of reading in bed and while the side with the clips held the device nicely, the other clipless side dangled off the cover about 1/2" which made it impossible to hold one handed. Even when reading on a flat surface trying to press the page buttons on the clipped side, the device would fly up making it impossible to press the button. I know it's a touch screen and there are other page buttons, but I shouldn't be limited to how I want to use the device. Overall, I thought the design could have been better implemented. Even though I'm loathe to use my new nook without a cover I'm holding out for 3rd party covers hoping they keep the elastic top corners.

I wanted a classy and functional protector for my Nook. I have no idea why some people are griping about this cover. The look and feel of it matches a journal I already own and love. The magnetic clasp is sturdy and keeps the front cover out of the way while I read one handed. I haven't had any trouble reading with my right OR left hand. It wiggles a little bitty bit when I use my left hand to use the buttons but I just tap the screen instead anyway. Overall I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase.

Contrary to other reviewers - I really like my cover! I bought it 2 months ago and have been carrying it almost daily in my purse. The magnetic tab works well - keeping the cover nicely closed. I did use a clear film screen protector - just in case there are any loose coins in my purse which could get between the cover and the nook - but together they are everything I need for protection. I think the "fake leather" material is very nice and looks/feels high quality. And I love the cream colored interior - it's beautiful. I also don't have any issues opening the cover, folding it back and securing it with the tab - this keeps the tab out of the way while reading. I definitely recommend this cover!

I really liked the color of this case online. It's not worth the $30 price though. The 'N' on the clasp looks like it's peeling off (I just got this two days ago) and the white suede lining on the inside of the nook shows every little fingerprint. I would recommend the covers with linen lining as opposed to this white (fake) suede material. The good thing about this protective case--it doesn't look expensive so you don't have to worry about somebody mugging you for your E-reader. ;)

"Luxurious Italian simulated leather"? Oh please give me a break. It's printed plastic and it looks it. I've seen artificial leather that looks convincingly real, but this just looks cheap and fake. I have two other Nooks with beautiful genuine leather covers; this one is ugly by comparison. Two stars because it seems to be decently constructed, but in retrospect I was a fool to spend fool thirty dollars on this thinking it really would be made of a quality artificial leather.

I love my nook but I really think the covers are just terrible! Not holding my nook right and holing only one side (so its moving and may cause nook to fell off). And the white interrior after 2 weeks will be completly dirty... Unless they will do a cover with holders on both sides - I'm not going to buy another... Really shame on you B&N! Kindle has such an amazing cover (with the light) [but the reader is old school]. Please fix this because its ruining nook experience!

I purchased this cover when I bought my Nook. I don't know what other people are doing to get these covers dirty, but mine looks like the day I bought it and I am on my third book. I love the magnetic lock on the side and haven't had any trouble with it. I intend to purchase this same cover in another color just to have a variety - the colors are wonderful.

Has anyone figured out how to clean the inside of this cover? The white inside is now filthy and I haven't been able to get it clean.

I bought this cover a few months ago when I got my Nook and absolutely love both! Contrary to what another reviewer reported, the cover secures my Nook in place very well and I have no trouble holding it with one hand while reading. The cover has a wonderful, soft, suede hand-feel, which makes reading even more pleasant. The magnetic tab holds the cover securely over the screen when closed, and catches the cover magnetically when flipped open. I highly recommend this cover!

I have LOVED this cover for my Simple Touch Nook! It is great for one handed reading. Very similar to holding a paperback book without the cover slipping from your grip. The magnetic clasp is nice with easy opening. Fold the cover all the way over and fold the magnetic flap all the way back to now secure the cover. Very easy for one handed reading! Make sure to watch the video on how to use it if I didn't explain it. Easy to clean also. I actually use a Mr. Clean Eraser to gently clean my cover to look "new" again every so often. Looking forward to getting another cover when I get my new Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight! Happy reading!!

Hooray for Green!!! I love this cover. The magnetic tab is great since you can just flip the front side to the back and it holds it in place. My last cover just flapped around when it was open...the good thing about the Nook Simple Touch is that it is compact and this cover is too!

I bought this when I bought my Nook, for only $10. To see it online for almost $30 is just insane to me! (Got mine in Pink because the store didn't have the green.)
With that being said, $10 is not bad for this case, $30 is! I bought this case in July it is still in once piece, however the interior of the case is just grubby looking, I hate that the interior is white! It shows every little speck of grub on it and is virtually impossible to clean because it's like a microfiber suede. I also would have preferred that the case had four snap-clasps, rather than two. My Nook will be in my purse and I will have knocked it down or dropped it somehow and the Nook will fall out of the case! Alright, end of rant. Do not spend $30 on a case I paid $10 for!

I love my cover. I've had it for a couple of weeks and have had no issues with the magnets. I read in bed almost exclusively and I like the way the back stays closed, without even using the clasp. I think it is good looking. It's not real leather, granted, but it only costs $30 so how could you expect more. I think its a fine cover.
