I initially received as a gift the Library Cover in Iris for my new nook. I was reluctant to keep it based on the reviews for all of the other fabric covers. But it was such a pretty color however I dropped one drip of water on it & the stain didn't fade. The water drop absorbed immediately & spread some. These covers don't seem to have been stain protected in anyway. I knew I had to take it back. I purchased the Anderson Quote cover in Vivid Pink. It is very pretty and I know it will stay in great shape because I have a green one for my 1st nook. I give it a 2 because it's my favorite color.

I browsed all the covers for the 2nd edition Nook and chose this one solely because of the color. I didn't need it to be waterproof or particularly sturdy, just something basic to keep the Nook protected when I carry it in a bag or want to put it on a bookshelf. For my needs, it's great. I haven't spilled anything on it, but I did notice a small spot on the back as soon as I took it out of the package, so I wouldn't be surprised if it stains or gets dirty easily. Note that it doesn't have any of the features you can find on some other covers: no strap or metal snap to keep it closed, no pockets, and no padding. But if you want a simple cover that looks pretty, this one fits the bill.

I brought one in the Pink one. And I love it very much. That was my Christmas gift to myself this year 2011. ShelleyMA
