The pen is nice and writes well, and the light on its flex shaft is handy. Unfortunately, the plastic pocket clip on the pen breaks the first time it's put in a pocket. The other design flaw is the "on" button which is too easily activated and if you don't notice it the batteries will be run out in a matter of hours in your pocket.

The pen was an impulse-buy as I stood by the register waiting for the cashier to ring up my purchase. I had been thinking in recent weeks that it would be convenient to have a pen that I could use in the dark...to write in dream journals...or to jot down an idea that comes inconveniently in the middle of the night...
This pen seemed to be the answer!
So I bought it and tucked it away into my backpack. A few days later I noticed that as the pen rolled around in my pack, it would turn itself on quite easily. Sure enough, the night that I could have REALLY used the flashlight portion of the pen...the batteries had died. I've since found the pen-light I'd been searching for -- and this ain't it.
Sorry. Wish I could be more positive.
This was an "impulse" purchase at the register. My Mom has a "thing" for pens and always likes when I find something "different" or fun, so I picked it up....and it IS cute and fun, but kinda cheap and didn't last very long...NOW I am on the lookout for a replacement battery, so....
Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I hardly got to use this pen. I used it a few times the same day I bought it, then put it in my purse in what I thought was a safe place. Needless to say, the top popped off and I cannot get pen top to stay on when I place the batteries in and screw the top on. I would have loved to been able to use this pen more, but it looks like this pen will either have to be returned to B&N, or it will probably go in the recycle bin (metal).
