Muriel Cover in Lime

Snazzy color but problems

Very pretty lime color and inexpensive, but I have a few issues with it: when I slip my NookColor into this cover it's very snug and the top slot inside sticks out on the left and is kind of annoying. Also, whenever I want to recharge the Nook, the little hole in the cover does not line up with the little hole in the Nook (I really should learn the technical term for this), so I have to remove the Nook and then plug it in. This is inconvenient and awkward. One more thing: it absorbs oil and dirt like a magnet. I would recommend purchasing a different cover. I'm hoping the next one I get fits better. Perhaps I'd be smart to go to a B&N store and "try one on" instead of ordering one over the Internet?

Make it your own!!

When i went to Barnes and Nolble to pick out a case for my brand new NookColor, i was upset because there was only one cover left that wasnt a shade of grey! So I bought this one and i LOVE it. I taped a picture of me and my best friend on the front, and all my friends at school signed the back. The fabric makes it easy to draw, write and glue things onto my NookColor without ruining it! I cant help but smile whenever i look at it! It has a nice feel to it and i like how you can fold the straps back after its opened so the front cover dosent flop around while im reading the Hunger Games!!!!*

Nice Color

I wasn't thinking clearly when I purchased this, I love the color and that is what got my attention, but it is very easily soiled and now I've had to purchase a leather cover. I won't purchase another cloth material type cover ever again, but I still love the color!

Sturdy and Simple

I've had this case since the first week the nook was released and the case and the rails inside are very sturdy. Sliding the nook into the rails is very easy. The suede-like material really helps to hold in the nook.

The color is pretty true to description. The bands that hold the cover in place are very effective. The cover also folds back and I found it to be easy to hold.

The only problems I had regarding the rails were that there is a slight gap between the rails and the left side of the nook. Taking the nook out and bending the rails in a little helps, and at no point was my nook ever in danger of sliding out.

I would recommend this, especially since the price is on the lower to mid range of the nook covers B&N offers.

Very classy looking and feeling.

It's just about everything the description says. Carrying it feels more like carrying a "regular" book than carrying most printed books feels! I just worry about the fabric ultimately getting soiled. No information was given about how to clean it, if need be. Surely just handling it will eventually soil it. But, so far, so good. The color is simply a knock-out!

Very Practical - Protected in any Bag you Throw Your Nook in

This is a great cover. The bands keep the cover closed tightly so it doesn't open in your bag and your nook is completely protected.

Very functional, but gets dirty and worn looking quickly.

The functionality of this cover is great. It holds the Nook securely, the elastic bands keep it open (or hold the cover folded back while you read), it is relatively slim and lightweight for those who tuck their Nook into their purse or tote and take it everywhere with them, as I do. Unlike another reviewer, I have never had difficulty accessing the ports or any of the controls on the Nook, and have never once in 8 months had to remove it from the cover to charge or otherwise access ports.

HOWEVER, the fabric is the real downfall of this cover. It seems to attract dirt, and quickly looks soiled where you touch it most often (and I am diligent about washing my hands before I pick up my Nook, since it has a touch screen.) The corners get frayed and worn looking quickly, too. My next cover will definitely be something I can wipe clean.

Dont Recommended

If you care your nook with you EVERYWHERE like I do. I do NOT recommend this case!! When you use the bungies it pushes the case down on your screen and I'm about 95% that is the reason I'm getting these white spots on my screen!!

I have had this case(but in purple) since the Nok Tablet came out. I absolutly love it. Best case ever. I never had a problem with it getting dingy, always was able to keep it clean, until my fiance decided to use it after cleaning the fireplace. Now the inside cover is hand printed in black XD. All in all I can cover it up with a drawing or something, no biggy

Not worth $30

I like the slim design, and how light weight it is, but within 2 days of use it's looks as though I've had it for years! Gets dirty way too quickly! It needs some sort of protective coating on it so that it can be easily wiped clean. I've gone back to using my heavy leather case that I bought along with my nook...at least it doesn't show the dirt, or oils from my hands.

I was so bummed. It is a GORGEOUS cover in the lime....but I only had it two weeks and it got stained no matter how careful I was. It's sturdy and pretty and does the job, but gets dingy and dirty so fast, it was not worth the $30 if you want to have a cover that stays nice looking long term.

Like the colors but....

I bought the Anemone color, but found it soon got dirty looking being in a fabric cover. I read a lot, so handle my Nook a lot and I am disappointed that I was unable to get the cover to look clean again. I've had it a year and finally bought a leather cover so it didn't look so grungy! (But it's the contents of the cover I love the best!)

Does the job, but has a few flaws

I love the color of this cover. I've had it for 6 months. I like how functional the bands are that close the cover as well. I was nervous the bands would wear out with use, but they have held up nicely. I have to say though, I wish I had gone with the leather. The fabric is not forgiving. It has picked up several oil stains and just doesn't look nice anymore. Also, the band goes right across where the charger plugs in, so you do need to move that every time you charge. Not a big deal for me, but worth noting. The spine is holding up well overall, but it has creases in it that were not there in the beginning. It's not a bad cover, but if you are not an extremely meticulous person you may want something a bit more functional!

Muriel Cover in Navy

I've had this cover since May and love it. Yes, it does have a problem being cleaned but the protection it allows outweighs that. I had an incident where my Nook could have been damamged but this cover protected it really well. My Nook fits very securely and I don't understand why someone's would fall out. I like the fact that the elastics keep it closed very well but are easy to slide off in order to read/play games. I'm sure the Navy color hides dirt that might show up on a lighter shade.

Not recommended

My daughter uses this to read in school and the nook slides out of the cover. she says that it becomes "really annoying". You should probably use this if you are only using it to read at home, or a little while on the train where afterwards you put it in your bag.
