Excellent product. I purchased the blue because the pink looked too bright in real life and the black was too boring. Neoprene can stretch to accommodate other items, even my cell phone (although I am not planning on using it for that purpose). Instead of getting a folder-style cover with a pocket on one side, just stick a small notebook into this sleeve. I purchased this item because I do not like the idea of adding extra bulk to the Nook while I am reading and the Nook will be in my purse, along with other stuff, so it needs to be completely protected. Highly recommended!

After triing both the book style and case for the Nook Simple Touch, I recommend the case for its simplicity and ease of handling the Nook. Both do have pros and cons; The book style has the feel of a book, most book cover styles have a pocket on the inside cover to store a few papers or cards. In addition, the hard front and back adds protection for the screen of the Nook. However, I found it at times a bit bulky. My hand would get tired holding the book style cover. One other problem I experienced was, the Nook kept freezing up when ever I had it in the book style cover, not sure why, it may have been the style of book cover. After switching to the case style, I no longer have problems with the Nook freezing up. The Nook is lighter and easier to hold without the added weight of a book style cover while reading. Only draw back is when you first take the neoprene case out of the box, it has a strong oder which can be easily remedied by allowing it to air out for a few hours. Both work well, for me the case fits better into my lifestyle , it is just a matter of preference.

I didn't want a cover for my nook that made it look like a book. I wanted a case to protect it while carrying it in my purse, luggage, etc. This is perfect for that.

I bought this case because I didn't want to add the bulk of a book style cover to my Nook Simple Touch. One of the major selling points of the Nook ST was it's lightweight body! As a previous owner of the 1st generation Nook I was looking forward to a much lighter ereader. I am very pleased with this case because it does exactly what I need it to -- protects the nook from dirt, dust and scratches. Highly recommended.
I noticed the smell that other reviewers have mentioned and can confirm that the smell will go away after a short while. It's really not that bad... just let the case air out.

I really do like the neoprene case - it fits my nook perfectly. It fits easily in a purse or other carrier. I like this because it allows me to carry my wiping cloth as well.

I bought this along with the silicone case, but I'm definitely going with this one. I'll be taking back the silicone case as this does the job just fine. I prefer reading the Nook Simple Touch with nothing on it. It's meant to be light and comfortable and I know I didn't want one of those big book-looking covers to take away from that. Having this case I can still read my nook without it being attached or locked into another case. When I want to put it in my purse to go somewhere, I know this neoprene case will protect it. Whey spend double the money on those other cases when you're just adding bulk to the product.

This cover is a great fit and adds very little bulk and weight. However, it is hard to clean.

I noticed that other reviewers wrote about the funky smell the case has when you first get it, and I agree, it does smell a bit... pungent. But after 2 or 3 days of airing it out, it doesn't really smell anymore. Kinda has that new car smell.
Anyway, this case is amazingly cute, and perfect if you want your nook to stay light. Plus, now you're free to decorate your nook with awesome skins and still be able to show it off. You can't really brag about a skin when it's half-covered by a book-like cover.
