Crafted of finely textured leather, the Neva reflects the classic appeal of the NOOK Simple Touch. The cover is accented by embossed silver "n" logos on the front and back and an embossed horizontal silver stripe that runs across the front, back, and spine of the case. The Neva's interior is lined with gray sueded material that's both soft and durable, and there's a slip pocket for notes and cards. The bar-clip mechanism holds your NOOK Simple Touch securely while allowing easy access to the charging port. A power activation button has been engineered into the back of the case.

It took me a long time to choose a case for my NOOK and after doing a lot of research online and looking through all of the cases in the store, I decided to purchase the Neva Cover in Graphite. At first I thought that I wanted a case that had some type of closure to keep the front cover closed but after looking at all of the cases in the store and trying them on my NOOK, I decided that it didn't really matter unless I was flinging it across my room, which isn't going to happen. The leather on the front is very durable and as it is textured you really aren't going to notice any scratches. It is also very easy to bend the cover back which I was worried about because of the case being leather, but it works fine and doing this has left no marks whatsoever on the outside leather of the case. I was afraid of the leather rippling because it was being bent in the opposite direction but it hasn't and I've been using it quite a lot. The clips that Barnes and Noble use to keep the NOOK in place are reasonably secure, which I didn't expect. However, I was unlucky enough to drop my NOOK the first day that I had it in this case, go figure, and the NOOK popped out of the case after hitting the floor. The way that it happened makes me think that even if my case had a closure on one side or an elastic band that the NOOK still would have popped out of the clips. It makes me wish that Barnes & Noble made cases with 4 of the clips instead of just 2 so that the NOOK would be held in much more securely. It wouldn't hinder any access to anything we might need on the NOOK, such as the SD Card port and the charging port and it would make the NOOK sit much more securely within all of the cases.
