    A great smaller messenger bag

I was looking for a smaller sized messenger bag for my MacBook and Nook along with a few essentials. This bag is just what I was looking for. It's light weight, simple in design, but very well made. The coated canvas is both sturdy and soft, the shoulder strap is quite thick and adjustable to either use over the shoulder, or can be made long enough to use across body messenger style. An added bonus is that the bag, while fabric, stands up vertically, no slouching as with other bags. From the seam construction, to the newer velcro closure on the main flap, it's a stylish and well-constructed item. I've tried other light weight bags from other manufacturers and this one is just right. If you want to travel light, check out this bag.

This is not a bag for adults

First, let me say that this bag is the perfect size (I have been looking for years!), the Nook pocket is a perfect fit and the slide pocket on the back is perfect for the spiral notepad that I need for work.

Second, let me say that this is not a bag for adults or commuters. I could not find the utility pouch mentioned in the description. The inner pocket for laptops is the right length but it is too wide to hold my netbook securely. It needs a narrower pocket or a longer Velcro closure to make the netbook secure. As it is, this pouch takes up most of the room in the main pocket if you don't want to unzip the bottom.

Finally, it really needs a place for keys and a travel mug placeholder to be completely useful to commuters.

    Looks good, but ...

As one reviewer said about the $99 bag, "It looks overpriced." I have noticed B&N is very proud of their stuff ... a little too proud. This looks like a nice bag for $49 or even $59. Believe me, I have done some serious shopping for laptop/netbook bags. I have a collection at home. This looks like a great size, not too big, but that price stops me in my tracks. It must be like Mercedes Benz, glue the Nook logo on it and double the price.
