Paterson Quote Cover in Indigo

NOT as Shown... I shopped SPECIFICALLY for the Rail!

If I could give this a NEGATIVE Star I would. I spent a lot of time going into each page looking for a "RAIL" system to hold the nook color as I was concerned with taking it in and out a lot with the "3 Prong" system would either loosen the prongs or possibly break them.

I paid for the cover and waited 6 weeks for it to be ready to ship, then another 1.5 weeks for the delivery... When it finally got here it was a 3 prong, not the RAIL system I specifically was shopping for and was my #1 requirement for making the purchase.

Sigh, lots of time and loss of my money for 2 months... Seriously Disappointed. I will be returning this cover.

Leaves marks on nook glass

After a long search I thought I found the perfect cover for my nook color. It feels great in my hands during extended reading sessions and the little pockets are perfect for holding small items like a cleaning wipe for the screen and my library card.

Unfortunately after a while of using it I started noticing two verticle streaks on the glass every time I opened the cover. Thinking it was the items I had in the pockets I removed them, cleaned the screen and they returned. I wiped down the cover with an alcohol pad thinking it was grease from holding the cover in my hands while reading but still the marks appear after I close the cover. They perfectly match the stiching on the cover and are quite annoying as now I have to clean the screen everytime I go to use my nook.

Great Cover!

This is a great cover! It does use the clip system, the pictures are old! It works very well. This case does add a bit of bulk, but it's so much nicer to hold. The leather is kind of grippy so you can use it as a kind of kick stand in landscape mode! I recommend this case.

I REALLY wanted this cover, but being a brand new Nook customer, I was a little nervous that the speakers would be muffled, and no access to the earphones when in the case. Wish someone would've had a written review on this one before i made another purchase.

Item is packaged incorrectly!

I ordered this product and just received it in the mail today. Unfortunately, although the label on the box matches the description of this product what is in the box is actually the coffee colored one! This sounds like a fundamental problem at the manufacturer of putting the wrong item in the wrong box. I am going to go to a store to see if they can help me get the actual cover that I ordered but I would caution anyone buying this item that since it is packaged incorrectly you may not receive what you ordered!

Looks good but not practical

I liked this right off with the soft leather like and pockets - then discovered the sections make lines on the Nook's glass face as soon as you close it...the prockets are pretty much useless for more than a couple of business cards. I ended up cutting the pockets off and saved a lot of cleaning time on the glass face. Likely over time it coud etch the glass.

Love the Storage Pockets/Hate the Rail System

I am somewhat disappointed in this case because for the money, you would think the design would be better. The rail system for holding in the nook is just cheap plastic and the nook doesn't sit snugly on all four corners. When I thought it was just me, and exchanged the cover, it did it again. I was told it was the design, and would do it on every cover like this because of the lack of support on the top left corner. I don't like looking at a nook sitting lopsided while I'm reading, but I love the feel of the cover, quote and storage pockets.

I purchased a lether Nook Color cover with a wonderful quote on it. The leather is soft and durable. As with any leather product it will show wear. This wear is what adds character to the cover. I carry my nook everywhere and this cover has held up very well. I get many compliments on it. People often ask where I found such a beautiful book and are suprised to see that it is a Nook cover. I have dropped my nook several times and the cover protected the Nook. I highly recomment this product. I am confident that this will be the only cover that I will ever have to purchase for my nook.

I've had this leather cover for a little over a year now on my Nook Color. I love it and feel that it's held up well. I like the pockets to put misc. papers in. I did notice that my cover does not have the small clips in the corners to hold the Nook in place. Mine has a slot that runs the entire length of the Nook, which I really like. The leather has done well and shows minimal wearing (and I am an avid reader). Like anything else, if you take care of it (and not beat the thing up) it will last.

Great Cover!

I've had great results with this cover. Love the extra pockets, & as to the issue voiced about the seams leaving marks, I noticed that there's a thin sheet of sponge packing in the box. I just use that as a cushion on the screen, & voila, no marks.
Feels great in the hand, nice & sturdy, keeps the Nook secure.

Love the quote and color scheme

I am pretty happy thus far. I received this as a Christmas gift along with the Nook tablet. He chose it for the quote which rings so true for me atm, and the nice soft leather. I really like how it keeps my nook safely in place. The only reason I took a star away is because the leather does scuff easily. I really wish a carrying pouch would've been included. Each time I carry it in my handbag, it has yet another scratch on the leather. ;(

So-so

I've owned this cover for 6 months and it's showing considerable wear. All the corners are wearing through and some of the edges now too. I do like the feel, the color is nice and the quote is perfect. Love the pockets and the clip system is very sturdy. I will look for a heavier- duty cover next time.

Product not as described or pictured.

The description and pictures both portray the rail system in this item. That is what I wanted and thought I was getting. The product I received looks the same on the outside but it has the 3 point clip system for securing the nookcolor. There is no way this can be as safe as the rails. Too much trouble and time involved to travel 40 miles one way to exchange for a different cover in the store.

Great NOOK cover!

this nook cover is one of my favorites. The color is rich and nice leather. This cover is versatile, it was made specifically for the nook Color, but the original nook fits in the sliders too. Two thumbs up!!

Love it!

I did some research here on the Internet before I decided on a cover to buy. I am a very bubbly person and I love bright colors and fun designs, so at first I didn't like this color. What really sold me what the Paterson Quote! The first time I read it, I was captivated. Such few and simple words described perfectly just how I choose and buy books. So today I went to my local Barnes and Noble store with the goal of purchasing a cover for my Nook Color. I told the sales rep. what cover I saw on the Internet and he was able to locate it at once. Again, I was not sold on the color, so I did have my doubts, but I had him put my Nook Color into it, and after a while I was sold! It was like a perfect fitting glove, or more like a shirt that looks ugly on the hanger, but then you try it on and find out it fits and flatters in all the right places. I highly recommend this cover if you like to express yourself in a more quiet manner, and I recommend any cover if you have a table or e-reader of any kind. They extend the life of your device and make it feel complete.

Love It!

I have had this cover for one year, bought it for myself last year after my hubby got me my nook color for Christmas. The cover is great quality, very protective of my nook not to mention classy! Whenever I take my nook to bible study or out and about airplanes etc, I receive comments about this cover. Has shown some wear small scratches a scrapes but overall great. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a fine book like feel to your nook!
