I love my Nook and here is what you get with the customer service. NOTHING> They have the worst customer service on the planet. Barnes and Nobles knows they have a problem with the Nook color charger. It bends and breaks. They have had thousands of complaints. I tried to get a replacement and I got some idiot who did not speak English and asked me to repeat my name 14 tiems. That is great customer service when they don't even speak the same language. I have bought dozens and dozens off books for this Nook but Barnes and Nobles only cares about getting your money. There is zero customer service. I even asked to speak to a manager he refused his name and held the phone and wouldn't answer questions. I was left with a less than stellar customer service experience but the Better Business Bureau will hear how Barnes and Nobles are selling these Nooks for hundreds of dollars and refusing to offer any service. I am disgusted with Barnes and Nobles and will never do business with them again.

New design for the Hd+ is great. while previous design broke more easily than it should (I have my original one and it did not break.) this design for the HD is much better. the one star reviewer is referring to the older model

This is a well-made and well-designed charger. It does what it's made to do... what more is there to say?

customer service for this product is unbelievably bad. while the charger is better quality this time around, its still ridiculous that you can't buy just the cable (not the power connector). If you call BN support hafl the time you get someone that doesn't even speak english, ask to talk to a manager and the experience only gets worse.
Now the HD+ is an excellent product, i LOVE mine, i don't have any complaints at all regarding the actual hardware, but EVERYTHING that goes into supporting the hardware is a sub-par experience.

So, why cant I just buy the cable??? Oh no, I MUST by the entire kit just to
replace a cable that won't work eith any other product in the world!!! I can't believe I was that stupid to get suckered into buying a Nook in the first place. I'd have been better of buying an iPad mini and I wouldn't have to jump through so many hoops just to read a book. Oh well, live and learn.

So far I am not impressed with my new nook. Called for tech support via chat room, they were somewhat helpful but no way to print out the chat. I was told to copy and transfer to word document
but that was impossible.... cheesy-chat. As for spare parts and pieces, cables, chargers, etc. seems very proprietary so they can charge what they want. Keep reading that the cables fall apart after limited use. Hoping that is not the case.

Not sure where all the negative comments are coming from about this product. You CAN buy just the charging cable if you want. Its available right there in the B&N store. Also, I have nothing by POSITIVE things to say about the B&N Chat customer service I received. My Nook HD charger was making a loud squealing noise when it was plugged in. I chatted with the representative, she asked for my serial number, and sent a replacement right away. No issues. Couldn’t be happier with the process all around!

I have a nook color and my plug in to the book came apart. I guess I just sol as I do not want to call portugal or arabia to get a replacement. I don't do any language but English. Darn, I was having fun buying books.Jean Watkins

I have had Nooks for several years and have for my family, purchased a total of 5, with the last being a Nookk HD+ for me. The Nooks are, in my opinion well made and great for their purpose.. Their ads, however are lies when it comes to the capabilities. While they "say" they are open to the entire Google Play Store, they are not. I have found several just in my search in the last 2 days that do not show up in their version of Google Play. I did, however find that I can go online on my laptop to the Play store, order it and have it sent to my Nook. The one star rating is for their Tech (un)support. It is abysmal and they should honestly be ashamed. The people (I believe in Malaysia) know absolutely nothing except what they read in their scripts. If you ask anything not in it, they want to start over "Just to make sure I heard it right".

well the charger cord for my HD gave up the today. battery was at 45% and would not charge, green light came on but would not show that it was
charging. Changed the cord and now it chargers. Problem is I live in Alaska and no B&N in the southeast part. So now I better order
another cord. had the same problem with my other nooks but was hoping the problem was solved with the HD, but 4 months later I have to
change the cord. Love the nook for reading, I have over 800 books, the reason I have the nook is to support B&N and the authors but I hope
they will take the time and take care of their customers.
