To make sure that your NOOK is charged and ready at all times, it's a good idea to have an extra charger on hand at the office. This excellent kit will fill the bill, either as a backup or a replacement for your original charger. It's compact and rugged and has a generous 5-foot micro USB charging cable, which allows you to sync your NOOK with your computer. You can also charge it from a wall outlet with the included AC adapter, which is smartly accented with a "nook" logo.

how can you sell an item and not have a replacement charger available for purchase.
I now have an appliance that we can't use and the charger is missing. If you market this for children as was done to me - make sure that you sell replacements for missing items.

I have had my Nook Color for only a few months, and the power cord is already separating from plug-in. The man at B & N told me that lots of people are having the same trouble. If this is so, I think you should furnish free replacements until you correct the problem. We are caught between the rock and the hard place -- the Nook won't work without the charger, and I have gotten very used to having it at hand when I need it. In addition to the fact that I put out a lot of money for the Nook Color, I don't have a lot of extra money to waste since I am retired and living on a pension. PLEASE HELP!

I have had the nook 2nd edition and from the beginning it seemed like the charger had a short in it but I could always get it to work. Now, I am out of town in the middle of a great book, and I have a charger that won't work and no where to buy one. My daughter got the new color nook about 5-6 months ago and she is already having problems with her charger. Next time, which will probably be soon, I will be buying a kindle!

i received this with my nook2 and it does not charge my nook. i want to give it one star simply for the fact that i can't seem to get a replacement and barnes and noble has no way of telling when this will be released. one would think this is a common problem since they are not able to ship this item. i will be switching over to the kindle once i am done with the ebooks library....if i ever get to finish it since i am unable to charge it with the power plug provided

I like my Nook but I also am having problems with the charging cord staying in the Nook. If I am very careful, it will still charge, but now, seeing these other reviews, I wonder if I should start trying to transfer all to my Kindle. Kindle now does library books, but you have to go through Amazon to do it.

Not sure what's up with all of the negative reviews on this adapter. It worked just fine on my Nook STR (Simple Touch Reader).
In fact it's so simple, I'm amazed anyone can have trouble with it. Are you guys trying to eat it or something?

I have a nook color and have had to replace the charging cord 3 times in the year since receiving it. They really need to fix the problem. It breaks at the part that plugs into the nook itself.I would highly recommend it,if this problem were fixed.

I have had my power cord and the entire nook color replaced a total of 5 times because the power cord and charging slot keep breaking.

the charger supplied with the new Nook Color is CHEAPLY made. The cable is defective on both ends and needs to be reworked so that it actually charges the reader and doesn't fall apart when unplugging. Extremely disappointed with what is supplied and now, where can I pick one up so that I can finish reading my books?

I ordered this in December still haven't received it 3 months later even though I've made several contacts and have been told it would be shipped right away. Why offer something you can't deliver?

Charger stopped working after 7 weeks! Called B&N and was told I'd receive a free replacement in 3-5 days. By day 6 I called bacause I had not received it yet, was told it was back-ordered (no phone call, e-mail) advising me of such. Called 7 days after that and was told it would be 3-5 WEEKS! They really need to take take care of this charger issue. You can't use the Nook Color without it and with so many people having problems besides me, it really needs their undivided attention.

I love my color nook. Have had 3 months, already power cord needs replaced. The Nook website said take it to Best buy and they will replace it. They won't !!! They gave me a number to call which I did and they are supposed to send one, I have a two year warranty on the Nook. I don't think it is worth the money to buy waranties. Will not do that again. NOT HAPPY!! Will buy Kendel next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
