As much as I love Barnes and Noble and NOOK, this is some serious price gouging. Amazon has a 4gb card WITH ADAPTER for only $7.99!! This is the most expensive place to buy the micro SD cards, so please don't fall for this until their prices are lowered to be at least competitive!

I purchased this product. Popped open the back of nook and installed Sandisk. Once i did this my nook would not start! I had to call support and spend about an hour until we could get it working. We had to create all the same folders that exist on internal storage. That still did not fix issue. We then had to do a quick format of the SanDisk from Windows and add all of the default folders. I would recommend the extra storage, but wish the installation was not so difficult.

Why does Amazon sell a greater variety with more competitive pricing for Nook accessories, covers, memories, screens etc?

The Nook comes with lots of memory for books, but this also gives me plenty of space for photos and music. This was easy to install (access if on the back of ther Nook).

Only problems were trying to install it into the space in the nook. Very difficult. No problems with the memory card itself.

My brother bought this for me, and I gotta say it is great! It was an easy fix. I simply popped open the back, inserted the card, and turned my Nook back on. No trouble at all, and now I have space for tons more books!

I honestly don't know how people are having trouble with there NOOK'S it was the most simple e-reader I found. This SD card works great!! Just the right amount of storage I wanted and I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE TO INSTALL IT!

I purchased a 4 gb SDHC for extra memory purposes. When I called customer service and asked for help to format--I was told that to store anything on the SD card, I would have to remove the card from the back of the nook--do it from the computer, then reinstall the memory card in my Nook. Did I get a person than knew less than I did--or what? That just does not seem to be the way it should be, as you are having to remove the back cover each time you load anything onto that part of your memory. Something does not seem right here, this can not be the way that Nook designed this!! I think I already want a Kindle for Christmas!! I'm just happy I did not waste my money on any bigger SDHC card! I've had my Nook for 3 months and have delt with customer service 6 times already, and always ended my conversation feeling very stupid, or wishing I had purchased a different electronic book. I've had to re-register it so many times to get my purchased content to show up that it has really become annoying. I did a factory reset at one time with no satisfaction so I will not be reccomending it to my friends.

You can purchase this same item at Walmart for under $10.00. At my store they are right accross the isle from the E-Readers. Also a good place to pick up your Nook, or try out other brands. You don't have to wait for shipping either.
I read another review that said the item is cheaper from Amazon too. Maybe I should have waited for the new Kindle Fire. Probably has a better battery too.
