Be warned, the earlier versions of this cover were good quality leather with some significant padding and grain. They have now cut some corners on the quality of the leather and have eliminated the padding. The front cover is not as stiff and the "leather" doesn't smell like real leather as did the first version. The pictures are of the older higher quality version and the stores here are starting to get the new versions.

In the intitial product description is says that this cover will patina with time and I completely agree. It is a very nice quality cover, especially for the price. I would recommend this cover for the Nook!

Once I opened the cover, I found the material on the inside to be very soft and felt high quality. The case is simple & sleek, and it's going to look even better once my nook is in it! I can't wait! Thanks B&N.

Cover is good protection for when I carry in my pocketbook. But the down side is, that the button on the top of the nook gets turned on when carrying in my pocketbook and the battery wears down.

The leather was not as nice as I expected it to be. It doesn't look as rich or luxurious as I thought it would. It holds the nook perfectly and overall I'm satisfied with this cover. I don't have the same problem with the front cover not staying closed as others mentioned. It does stick up just a touch, but I anticipate that will decrease as the cover ages.

This cover is classy looking, and feels great in your hands. The Nook is held securely. I have my own small reading light and it fits on it perfectly.
I did use a leather protector on it when it arrived.

I was hesitant purchasing my Nook cover on-line because I like to see the item in person before I purchase it. However, there always was a lack of inventory of covers at our Barnes and Noble stores so I had little recourse but to order the cover on line so I could provide some protection for my Nook.
I reviewed the covers on the Barnes and Noble website and found several covers that looked like something I would like. I looked at each of the series of pictures of each cover and especially liked that they showed not only the outside of the cover but the inside as well.
After carefully reviewing the covers I selected the Sinclair cover in Earth as well as the Nook protective films. The checkout process was a breeze and I received a purchase confirmation notice and a status of my order almost immediately.
Subsquent updates provided the status of my order and the expected arrival date and lo and behold the cover arrived as stated in the update.
Some of the on-line reviews indicated that there were problems in the shipping and that the product was not quite up to the description that was provided on the website. I'm extremely satisfied by the cover and found the whole process a snap.
If someone is looking for a nice simple cover that has a classic style I recommend the Sinclair cover and ordering at Barnes and Noble is simple and easy to do.

As other reviewers have said, this cover is very stiff at first. That mean that after you open it to read your nook, the clasp-less cover will not stay closed unless you lay it and the nook top down.
However, the cover does eventually get ore broken in and flexible. At that point, the cover will bend backwards more easily and stay closed on its own.
Beautiful leather, smells nice.
Easy to plug in the usb cable while the nook is in the case; the only reason why you'd need to take your nook out of the case is to insert an SD card.

I take my Nook to work everyday and someone always picks it up and makes nice comments about the cover. When they open the cover up they are surprise to see that it is a E-reader and not a hardback book. Good buy.

Just a nice plain cover. No designs. No pictures or punctuation. I have no problem with it staying closed. Leather is nice and it looks like a book. The perfect cover for someone who just wants to protect their nook. Additionally, when you read your nook and hold the cover in two hands, it feels like you are holding a book. It is the cover for those that don't want to say to the world, "Hey look I have a nook!"

Very nice, light weight and dosn't show dirt or fingerprints. Does add a little heft to the nook but still less than a hard cover book. And it's not necessary to remove the nook to recharge it. Protect your nook screen and go for it!

This Sinclair cover met and exceeded my expectations. It not only looks great but is heavy enough for absolute protection and flexible enough to turn the front cover over for easy handling. I would recommend this cover for anyone with a Nook!

The Nook is securely bound to the cover which appears to be an actually leather bound book.
Heavy duty stitching.

I love the cover for my Nook. The only thing I do not like is that if you have small hands the cover is a little bulky. When you fold the cover back onto its self it puts a strain on my hands the only way to hold it is out flat which is ok sometimes. The cover is soft and the leather holds up beautifuly. The inside of the cover will stain if you do not keep your hands free from lotions it will absorb the oils from your hands and look dirty. The cover when folded back will soften and crease but otherwise the cover holds its shape well. Overall I like the feel and color of my sinclair cover the earth color is nice. I would recommend the purchase of this product.

It's not only attractive, but it's protective of an expensive purchase, and it is good to the tactile senses also.
Helpful in holding while reading, can stand on a bookshelf, slides easily into travel on luggage or purse while protecting your ereader. Totally satisfied!

Very soft leather, which I protected with a waterproof leather spray. Keeps our new nook safe and secure. The nook can be charged while on.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I agree with the previous reviews with regard to the look of this cover. It's very nice and true to its description. This is the reason why I chose this cover. The leather cover is a little harder than I expected and has a cardboard feel to it in terms of its pliability. I only gave it three stars because I feel that it is overpriced compared to some of the other covers that are available at the same price. There are no inside pockets for storage and again, the cover is somewhat stiff. I too have been frustrated with the spine and alignment issues but this is improving with time. Overall, I like it but it should be priced lower in comparison to other covers at this same price.
