Fits like a glove and doesn't significantly interfere with any nook operations, yet easy to get the nook in or out should the need arise. Offers good protection for carrying in a bag, and from general wear and tear, but it does lack a fastener so it flaps open (this could limit protection if you were to drop the device). I'm a little concerned that the white interior could get dirty from wear, but so far it's looking good.

Be warned, the earlier versions of this cover were good quality leather with some significant padding and grain. They have now cut some corners on the quality of the leather and have eliminated the padding. The front cover is not as stiff and the "leather" doesn't smell like real leather as did the first version. The pictures are of the older higher quality version and the stores here are starting to get the new versions.

I have had this cover for over a month now, and it works extremely well. I was looking for something to cover my nook so I could just throw it into my purse or backpack without damaging it, but i did not want something that I would have to put it in and take it out of like a sleeve. This cover works great. I like the way the front will wrap around the back so i can hold the nook as if it were not even in a cover. I can also put a notmal itty bitty booklight onto the cover spine when it is wrapped open. The only downside is that the leather on the spine is starting to wear a little from wraping it open. Not enough that I am ready for a new one, but it will be interesting to see how long it lasts before it starts to rip and tear.

I chose this cover wanting something simple that would protect my nook. It does this basic job well. However, the "spine" does take some time before it will loosen up. The first couple of weeks I could tell that it was a little tight. This problem went away after awhile. You also have to be careful about plugging the nook in to charge. I plugged the nook in quickly and later saw that I messed up the cover directly above where the charger connects to the nook. It does not look bad, but the cover does catch the charger from time to time.

This was the cheapest cover for Nook officially available that isn't laced with some designer prints or anything fancy. It fits my need perfectly to protect the Nook while making it more comfortable to hold.
It would be perfect if there was a snap or some way to keep it closed and a small pocket on the inside cover for notes or something.

I bought my Nook and this cover in December.
It fits perfectly. The leather is smooth and is showing a nice worn-in patina. It is like an old favorite book.
I carry my Nook (aptly named Sinclair) in my purse daily and this is just the perfect cover for daily wear and tear and protection of your Nook.
I've had many compliments on it. :)

Serves the purpose. Leather seems very cheap or maybe just thin as previous review stated. This was not my first choice but I needed a cover
quick for an upcoming trip and all of my first choices are on backorder.
Nook fits nicely in the case. It is new and the cover is very stiff and
does not close flat against the Nook. Hopefully with more use it will be
broke in and close completely. Time will tell. I really want to find a cover that will carry the book light inside the case when not in use and
still be compact. Not thrilled about the one B&N currently sells. Still
searching.

The case is nice and the Nook fits perfectly...but...I am somewhat disappointed in the quality of the cover. While leather, it seems very 'light' and I am not sure how it will hold up. We'll see...

Nice affordable cover for the nook. i work for a telecom company and am on remote sites all day long so as you can imagine i needed something to keep my nook protected from the abuse i put it through. this cover has treated me very well for the past 2 months and really shows no sign of wear. very impressed with the quality for the price. and a bonus is that i covered it in stickers when i got it and none of them are peeling (i know corny but i wanted something to set it apart).

The cover is affordable, but gives you the needed protection for your Nook. I am always throwing my Nook into my purse and going. With the Nook cover I can feel better about not turning on my Nook and wasting the battery and not damage my screen with a pen or any of the odd things I have in my purse.

This cover will cover your Nook. It is a simple task, and the "Sinclair Cover in Night" performs it admirably. It could be prettier. It could have a built in book light, but that's not the point. The point is to protect the Nook, and that's what it does. If I were to drop by Nook, I would feel much better knowing it was ensconced in a comfortable, leather-like case. This cover will also protect you; it will not spontaneously burst into flame, so that's one less thing to worry about, and one less product recall in your future. We were able to buy a separate light and clip it on, so that's taken care of.

This is a great cover for the nook reading device. It is stylish and functional. The only drawback to this item is the fact that there is not an inside pocket on the left hand side, which I find is a waste of space. Otherwise, it's a beautiful cover. (Its obvious sturdy construction is a plus, too!)

The cover is a patent leather exterior and suede type interior. Most of the time the front cover is folded back while I am reading books but it easy folds back and remains closed. I am very satisfied with this nook cover.

For the price, this is a nice cover. The outside is leather, but the inside is synthetic, however it is nice material and feels like suede. I would like to see this cover offered in more colors. My only complaint is that it does not have any type of latch to keep it closed. I have been putting an elastic head band around mine because I carry it with me almost every day. I don't want anything to slip inside the cover and damage the screen while it is in my bag. I am also afraid that if it were knocked off a table, the Nook may fall out of the case and break. As long as the cover stays closed, I think it is well protected. Although I have seen higher quality covers offered by other sellers, they are also priced quite a bit higher, so as I said this is a good cover for the money. I would have given it 5 stars if it included a latch of some sort.

This cover works great for the nook. It keeps it clean and still is easily used when reading the nook just by folding back the top cover. If you need to remove the nook, it is easily accomplished. You can charge your nook while still in the cover. All in all, it is a great product. The only thing better would have been a book light built into the cover.

Holds my nook securely, protects the screen, and looks nice while doing it. The leather cover seems durable enough; the suede interior is nice, and the whole thing is comfortable to hold while I'm reading.

I love my nook but hate this cover
1. The cover is very vulnerable to scrathes
2. It doe not close properly as the band that hold nook on top is at a different level from the clasp that hold the bottom part of the nook
3. The back of the cover has caved in beacuse of the top band being very tight and the cover not being strong enough
I think B*N should re-review this product as i have read some user comment suggesting the quality of this product have deteriorated recently
I would definitly not reccomend this product - I am currently looking at few in amazon - it looks like they have some value for money options

Good cover for your nook, but would have loved a pocket on the left side for notes and a slot for a pen.

Nook fits snug and the charger can access the nook without having to remove it from the cover.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I bought the Sinclair cover because it was one of the only ones available for immediate shipping and I deperately wanted to protect my nook. I was worried when I bought it, because I thought that I wouldn't be able to keep it closed, since there is no mechanism built in to do so. I carry it in my purse everyday and haven't had any problems with the cover exposing my nook. Also, the product feels very durable, soft leather and interior, and folds backwards easily on the spine to allow me better reading access with no interference of the page keys. Until I can get the Jonathan Adler punctuation cover, which is the one I originally wanted, the Sinclair cover will keep my nook well protected.
