The Tasume's elegant exterior, designed with an embossed geometric pattern, has some unexpected functionality in its repertoire. When you fold back the outer flaps, you'll discover a molded window, lined in black neoprene, custom-tailored for your NOOK Color or Nook Tablet. Hidden magnets secure the flaps to the back cover for comfortable reading. And that's just the start: think origami and you'll be on track. The channels in each flap allow you to fold it into a pyramid, and magnets join the two small pyramids into a larger pyramid -- providing a sturdy base for hands-free reading, in either portrait or landscape mode. There are convenient openings for the headphone jack and charging port, the built-in volume buttons on the right side of the device window, and a perforated sound port on the back to enhance your device's speaker output. An "n" logo on the back puts the finishing touch on this exceptional creation.

This is a very nice case: stylish and functional. I bought this case to go along with my Nook Tablet and I am very happy with it. The cover cradles the tablet tightly and the folding design really works well. The only design feature that I wish was better is the way the outside triangle portions of the cover kind of flop around when it is closed. It is really not a huge issue, but a future product update should include two more magnets in those corners. Glad I purchased this cover.

I just purchased mine yesterday...hadn't seen it on the internet but was in my local Barnes and Noble and noticed the new cover on their display. I wasn't going to buy it (I have three covers already) but had been looking for one that was light-weight. This one seemed lighter than the leather cover I was using and I wouldn't have to take the Nook out of the case to use it (very inconvenient when using my nook in the store). After walking around trying to talk myself out of buying it, I gave in. Glad I did! It is light-weight, and I love the way it folds up into a stand. In the stand form you can even read in your lap. Red's my favorite color as well (Bonus!)

Aside from the sleek design, I love the hands-free reading, full-access to controls and ports(except for card slot) and protection that this cover provides. The only thing missing is storage space for earphones and stylus when traveling. I make do with a clear plastic zippered pouch, just slightly wider than the cover, which holds it plus the other items. It would be nice to have something similar in the same material/color.

I really like the way it folds and my tablet can be propped either horizontally or vertically. I can slip my thumbs in the holes at the ends to hold it while reading. After being folded the edges take awhile to flatten again. I don't like the plastic material that was used, it makes it feel cheap and slippery. I would buy another one if it was redesigned with a leather or leather-like feel (I like the feel of the Industriell covers). Also a stronger magnet would help.

But when I went to buy it it said it was not available till july 10th. So I waited and waited and then finally the 10th came and I went to order it and it says it isn't available till AUG 18th!!!! thats not cool BN not cool! I expect better!!!

I'm the kind of person that needs to do research before I purchase an item. In selecting a cover for my Nook tablet I looked at every type of cover in the store. By far, the Tasume was the most versatile. The tablet is held very securely, the cover can be used with the cover flipped back to hold it in your hand, or fold the flaps and it stands both horizonatally and vertically hands free. Yes, the cover is plastic, but it is very durable. The corners do not have magnets, but I do not have a problem with the center cover magnet not holding the cover closed - I have not had it open while I had it in my purse or in a tote bag.

Would be nice to be able to get the item. Ordered the item Two days ago - Just got email that they are unable to fulfill the order - thus canceled my order. And yet the item is still for sale.

Looked great, bought it online, and order was cancelled becuase they don't have it. Then why can you still buy it on your website? I used a gift card too, so now I have to call to see what they can do because I don't have the gift card anymore. Why would I think to keep it??????? Very annoying!!!!!!!!!!

There were none available at my local Banes & Noble, but a Nook sales clerk had one for her Nook Tablet, and let me see it and try it out. I loved in and immediately asked that my name be placed on the list for the next incomming shipment, which I was told should be comming "soon, but we don't know when". This was in early January 2012. I have called 2x, and have been told that the shipment has not come in yet both times. It is now 04/13/12! Please. I expect better service. I was so happy with the way B&N helped me with the exchange of a faulty NookColor last year and had such high regard for their customer service. The 5 Stars are for the cover, of course, although I don't actually own one yet. It's just my rating from having played with the cover that the sales clerk had. I'm so very happy to see that it is FINALLY available online! I will buy it immediately. Can't wait to get it. I have to roll up towels or prop up my NC on something so read, and my cover is heavy, dark & ugly.

I was at Barnes and Noble today and they didn't have any, when I asked for them to check to see if they could get it for me their computer came up saying there was an internal error and there was no way for them to get it for me... does anyone know if anyone else sells this cover? My friend got his last year and loves it.

This is the best case -- please bring it back, and in more colors! The folding feature works great, and the case is lightweight and slim -- perfect for slipping into my purse without it taking up too much room. It's also very protective, as I've dropped my Nook in this case TWICE -- no damage whatsoever!
