    Nice construction, but needs pegs attached for easy handling.

    Not recommend for under age 2.

    Durable fun toy

    Our 16 month old son loves the Melissa and Doug puzzles. He isn't at the point yet where he can place the pieces in the correct holes well, but he loves to hold and play with the chunky pieces. Our public library also has these puzzle and they are SO durable. They still look great despite the number of kids who play with them. From what I've observed, older kids enjoy the puzzle as well.

    wood puzzle

    this is a great puzzle for toddlers. our grandson not only puts the puzzle together but plays with the pieces. they are very sturdy and thick.
