The little boy for whom I nanny has this toy and I truly do not care for it, except for the gear shift. That is fun. The little boy voice is very rude. When you go into the gas station, it says, "FILL me up!!" in a very demanding tone. It doesn't take that much more to say, "Please". There are other things said that come across just as rudely. I taught first grade for 33 years and the phonetic choices are horrible. Short and long vowel words are mixed, the word choices are awful and the pictures for the words are very hard to discern. V-Tech should be ashamed of itself!!!

I got this for a two-year-old to play with during a long road trip and was amazed at how long it kept his attention. The sounds weren't too annoying (there's a loud-soft button on the bottom), although the siren can be unnerving at times. His four-year-old sister loved it, too. It kept them occupied for an astonishingly long time.
