    Does not work.

    I am very disappointed in this toy.

    First off, it is not true to the original. It is not a mechanical toy that winds up and plays the records with tines like a music box. It is electronic and has a "needle" that detects which song to play based on smooth ridges on the record that are spaced differently for each song.

    Second, it does not work. The songs stop and start while playing.

    vintage record player

    The one year old loves this and so does his five year old brother. With the exception that it requires batteries, this is the same as the one I had when I was little.
