We bought the girl version of this for our 6-month old (Follow me Fiona). Obviously she only sits up right now, but she loves this. It does move on our rugs and carpet (rebuttal to the other review). The music and noise do get a little annoying, but it has a mute option where it can still move around w/out the noise. What kid toy that makes noise isn't annoying to a parent? My older kids, 4 & 5, love making it move around, and the music as well. The ears have the crinkly material inside, which my 6-month old loves to just sit with and feel. In reference to the other review, the collar makes a click noise when you turn it, it is just another detail of the toy, like the crinkly ears. Overall, I think it is a really cute toy. It is a little small, but because of that it's perfect for the age it is intended for. Would definitely make a great gift, and I am glad we have this toy!

it gets the baby's attention (9 months) with the colorful body and different dog noise. however, i hate the noise; i can't stand the whimpering sound! tapping the dog to make it move doesn't seem to work every time. i don't really see the point of the turning collar and my baby nor my 3 year old son didn't figure that out. the dog can't move on the rug. the wheels are weak and can't roll over the rug; it moves fine on the wooden floor.
