The game is rigged. The game mechanic (a dial with a recessed plastic needle that picks up dog-eared pages from the book) is heavily biased towards the horse (first creature in the book), followed by successively diminished chances for each creature, with the last creature (turtle), having absolutely no chance of winning.

I recognize that this game is not meant for adults, but I am forced to play this game whenever my daughter pulls it off the shelf. I won't lie - she is delighted by the horse winning; runs around exclaiming how wonderful life is for the horse token. For adults - you've been warned - this game is an exercise in precision tedium and and exasperation.

I wouldn't even donate this to the PTA to save any unfortunate souls the soured time this hell box gives while squeezing joy from life.

Fun entertainment - no batteries required!

We love the books so of course we had to get the game. It's perfect for pre-schoolers. The game can be tailored to their age (dice are either color coded or numbered)and the game play is clever. Perfect playdate entertainment for short attention spans!

    Perfect game for all occasions

Played this game at a family reunion chock full of young kiddos. They were entertained for hours and also loved how the book fit so perfectly with the board. My favorite part is that multiple kids can be the same animal. It was also fun to see how super super young kid can play with 4+ as well because there's no reading required and counting is optional! I highly recommend!
