This was so cool. It worked exactly like Harry's wand in the 6th movie when they were going to see Slughorn. This is a must for all Harry Potter fans. Forget about the wands that are more expensive and do nothing, you should get one that actually DOES something! This is a great product, and it was well worth buying.

I found the light easy to do with a quick flick of the wrist, but my daughter had a heck of a time. The next day, the light wouldn't activate at all -- I was able to determine its functionality depended on the battery door being almost fully tightened, but not fully tightened. I folded a tiny square of aluminum foil and inserted it between the last battery and the metal spring that holds the battery in with pressure. Now the light works consistently and is much easier for my daughter to activate. The light was bright enough to serve as her flashlight on Halloween night.

Works very well, very bright, like a real flashlight! Looks cool, like the real thing but a little bigger. Very fun!

This is a great product for Harry Potter fans. The box is cool. It lights up with a flick of the wrist & goes out when you flick your wrist again. It has a button on the side that works as a dimmer switch for the light. The wand is not made of porcelain as described, but seems to be made of resin or plastic. The wand is rather thick, so it might be big for small hands. Barnes & Noble had the best price.
We also have the Dumbledore wand by the same company. It is beautifully made and feels good in your hand.

Wonderful wand for children who love Harry Potter. Lights up when you "swish and flick"! It even has a button that makes the light go brighter or dimmer.

I bought 2 of these for my nieces and they really liked them. Wand has a good size (I thought it would be much smaller) and good quality for a plastic replica. The illuminating tip is a great feature and the box it comes in is very nice for storing it when not in use.
