I highly recommend this toy. I bought it for my son soon after he turned 3. It took a little while for him to "get" the object of it, but I just let him play and draw with it... one day I looked over and he was tracing the letter X! He has also begun to draw shapes alone on paper and I believe this helped with that- another great toy from leapfrog!

    Great product!

We just gave this to our 3.5 yr old son for Christmas. He loves it. I love the fact that I can control the sound, he loves the fact that he can practice writing his letters and there are several ways to challenge a young one learning the alphabet. I was having trouble finding something he could do that on without ruining tons of paper.BINGO!

    Great educational tool

My 3 year old loved this product. He played it a lot and was using it by himself. Taught following directions and helped with listening skills. Careful supervision is required because the eraser is so fun to use, he used it too often and incorrectly, and broke it:(

    Great tool

I bought this for my 3 year old son to help him learn how to write letters. He already knew the alphabet and had started writing the letters in his name. This toy helps him learn how to write the rest of the letters in the alphabet. What I really like is that it explains how to form each letter with verbal instructions. Be warned, however, that learning to write letters in this electronic format does not translate automatically to writing letters with paper and pencil. It definitely helps with those skills, but children still need to practice writing letters on their own.

    My Grandson loves it!

My grandson is 3 1/2 and is thrilled with his Scribble & Write. He sits for hours and enjoys drawing and trying to write letters.

    Scribble & Write

I bought the Scribble & Write for my granddaughter who is not yet two, but pretty advanced for her age. She loves tracing and being able to call out the letters that she recognizes. The Scribble & Write is very durable and easy for a small child to handle.

    Beginning writing

This was a Christmas gift for my five-year-old grand-daughter.
She is beginning to write words and I wanted her to learn correct letter formation. The device teaches by having the child follow moving arrows with a stylus. Letters are divided into lower case and upper case and are acompanied by the sound they makes. The prompt to clear the screen after completing the letter got to be annoying after the first few times. She liked being able to draw objects other than letters and liked the feature to guess what letter is being drawn. By the end of the day, all the adults had taken a turn.

    Big hit !!

I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old nephew and he would not put it down all evening. It took him a few minutes to figure it out and he was learning to write the alphabet.

    We Love it!

I brought the Scribble and Write for my 3 year old grand daughter's "T.O.Y." (Thinking Of You) box. It took her a few minutes to figure out what to do, but in no time she was really into following the lights to write letters. I love the large writing tool - excellent for little fingers developing fine motor skills. There are 4 different activities to keep little ones from getting easily bored.
I liked the the Scribble and Write so much, that I ordered another one for my great-niece - who according to her mom, won't leave home without it. It's small enough to fit easily into a little one's backpack. My niece loved it so much that she gave it to a playmate as a birthday gift.

    Scribble and Write ROCKS!!!

This toy is pretty cool...and educational.
My 3 and a half year old received one for Christmas after a recommendation from a friend.

He sees that he writes the letters and draws actual pictures by following the red lights...and is SO ecstatic that he actually did it!

I would recommend this toy for sure!
It keeps my son occupied for quite some time....either practicing his letters, or playing the "follow the light" game.

    Not so sure

I bought one back in Aug of 09 for my 2 1/2 yr old twin girls. I stay at home with them and participate in parents as teachers. But I put it up for now, their almost 3 and I cannot get them to understand what exactly to do. They just wanna scribble whatever they like. Mabey its because they are use to the doodle boards.

    great tool for beginning writers.

Bought this for a two year old. She loves it. It is a great tool for learning to listen and follow directions. Teaches letters and shapes. It greatly helps with the fine motor skills of little ones who want so dearly to write like others! Great positive reinforcement. Easily understood by a toddler!
The only reason that I give it 4 stars rather than 5 is because the screen has deteriorated a little with the written letters not showing up quite as well now as they did when first purchased.
