    Love Leap Frog

    We received the leap frog pen and several books as a Christmas present for my daughter when she turned four. She LOVES it--she uses it to read the pages, she plays the comprehension games, she studies the pictures. Now, my two year old son is using it too. In some of the books they'll go over vowel sounds, and I hear my son repeating what is said. I have SEVERAL of the books, and my kids return to them over and over again. Usually, I read a loud to them other books, but when my kid want some "down-time" to "read" on their own, they often select these.

    Not recommended

    I purchased a book from the LeapFrog Tag Reading System at Barnes and Noble. I purchased the book thinking it included all the tools to read the book. The person who checked us out never mentioned a pen was needed in addition to the book. Once I got home and opened the book I found there was no pen enclosed to interact with the book. Needless, to say I had a very disappointed young granddaughter. I researched this site to determine if I had missed something, saying I needed to purchase the reading tool separately. I found nothing. I haven't even found where I can purchase the pen on this site. I telephoned Barnes & Noble and was told I needed to purchase the pen separately. I was very disappointed with the customer service Barnes & Noble provided. I have no idea what the cost of the pen is but the book was $14.00.
