    Just as fun as ever!

I brought this for my three-year-old grandson, because I remembered how many fun hours I had spent building things with them as a very small child, and my kids had also loved them. It was the first thing he grabbed from under the Christmas tree. He was thrilled to build, with a little help from his Dad (who was in childhood memoryland heaven with them), a "real" little cabin and corral for his "little people" and animals. The "logs" are still wood, still sturdy, and still fit well, making a structure that doesn't easily fall apart like so many block creations do. The roof parts are better now, which is nice. A great toy for generations to enjoy together! As I recall from past experience though, you don't want your dog to get ahold of them! Because of small parts, these are for kids age three and older. While older kids will follow the included plans at first, the little ones create their own structures -- even sliding boards and seesaws! It's fun as a summer backyard toy too.

The blocks are great - but don't order toys from here!

The blocks are just like the ones I grew up with. However, B&N took every possible opportunity to mess up the order. First, they took orders for products they didn't have in stock. Then they waited weeks after they got them back in stock before shipping. Then they shipped the same order TWICE, and would have shipped a third set if I hadn't stopped them. They sent an RMA/Return Mail Authorization for Media Mail... which you can't use for stuff like this. They did eventually send a UPS pickup order for the second set. It took me a month to straighten out their mess. They're a great toy, but B&N is going to seriously have to step up to get me to ever order anything from them again.
