Magnetic Wooden Alphabet

Grandson loved magnet wooden alphabet.

I bought this magnetic wooden alphabet set for my 2 1/2 year old grandson for a congratulations present for having a new baby sister. He loves them. He organizes them on the refrigerator by color or letters depending on his mood. The box that the letters came in, are convenient for storage. It is one of the toys that my daughter likes to pack in his back pack when he visits grandma and grandpa. I can always count on Barnes and Noble for practical presents that occupies my grandchildren's time constructively. Melissa and Doug products are educational, durable, and the children play with them for hours. The Melissa and Doug puzzles are awesome.

Good-quality magnetic letters

The magnetic letters are colorful, sturdy, and of good quality. I like having both uppercase and lowercase letters in one container. The container, on the other hand, should be larger. I have trouble squeezing all of the letters back into the box, and my 4-year old daughter has to leave a few letters out of the box when she slides the lid back on. Also, the lowercase "i" looks almost exactly like the "l" and very similar to the "j." Perhaps making the dots above the "i" and the "j" a different color, as well as adding more curve to the "j," would help distinguish between the letters. Overall, I am happy with the product and would recommend it to those who prefer wood over plastic.

Recommend for pre -schooler

Safe letter with magnetic back that won't come off. Extra lower case and upper case letters needed in packet. But over all the packet is a good buy and safe.
