" Math dice is a good game for on the spot mental math. I have struggled for years with doing quick mental math and math dice really has helped me with it"."You start out by rolling the to target dice to get an overall number,"(lets say,27) 'then, you roll the three blue dice to come up with the numbers that you need to come close to or, over the target number.' Remember, the target dice can only be rolled once. Then you can use any form of operation to get the number. Addition, subtration, multiplication, division, powers and exponents(basic pre-algebra to get the equation. That is the overall challenge: to get the numbers as quickly as possible, using whatever operation that you can come up with."

He enjoyed this game so much that the next time I went to visit, several adults a couple teens all ended up playing it. I must admit, I had fun. Not only can you compete against others, but it really causes you to use all those algebra rules you thought you'd never use after high school. Fun, but not for everyone.

My 4th grade daughter has a math learning disability and needs to constantly practice math to keep it in her head. We both love this game for several reasons. First, it can go anywhere. We've played it at home, at restaurants, in the car, and she's taken it to school. Second, it's completely versatile. She can use any operation, practice her squares, square roots, etc. This means she doesn't get bored and never feels threatened or boxed in. She can take her time or we can break out a timer and play a challenge game to practice for timed tests at school. We have enjoyed this so much that we bought a set for her tutor!
