Bop It is a fun game for any age. My 4 year old son loves it and my 35 year old husband thinks it's a riot! It's similiar to Simon Says. When you turn it on, the game starts and tells you what to do: "Bop it, Twist it, Pull it...." Bop it is touching the button, Twist it means turning the yellow knob and Pull it means to pull the blue knob. If you don't do what it says quickly, the game is over. The object is to get as many in a row as possible. (In our house the record is 92.) The longer you play, the faster the instructions come. It also has a "Solo" setting, where you play alone to beat the high score (which it records and announces prior to each game or a "Party" setting, where you pass the game between people and try to keep up.
The one con with this toy is the mini-version is really mini. It's good for my kids, but my husband and I find it a bit difficult to hold and manipulate due to its small size. That's a minor complaint for a children's game and this would be great for a car trip with the kids. Not to worry: there are volume controls!!
