I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old and we had a great time with it! It's not a quick project, so open it on a rainy day or when you have lots of time. I could see kids up to 6 really enjoying it - not to mention it was very educational!

I purchased this for a seven-year-old girl. She really enjoyed making the colorful soft crystals. The directions were easy to follow, and the activity is not too messy. A great rainy day activity.

We have really enjoyed this science kit. Color matching, creation and the crytals all work really well for us. We even dried out the crystals again about the coloring experiment and had nice solid color crystals instead of the base white ones we started with... What fun.

Every year I buy my nephew, who is going to be 6 in January, toys for Christmas. This year I decided to get him gifts that were a bit more educational.
He absolutely loved this science kit! It occupied him all of Saturday. Not to mention, his older sister (freshman in HS) also had a blast helping him out.

Science can be fun and colorful, at the same time. Great interactive experiments provide the basis for the scientific method. Can be enjoyed by boys or girls alike.

Great idea for kids to learn about science and get the involed. Each project teaches them about science and my Grandson had a great time learning.
I would recommend this science kit to all children. I look forward to having fun with my Grandchild and him learning as we go.

This was really fun to work through. We especially enjoyed growing the crystals. Also there was plenty of materials to do the experiments several times, so we'll be doing them again over the summer.

This was a Christmas gift for my 5 year old granddaughter, along with the Bubble Gum Factory. She is home schooled, so her Mom was very happy with it as it will be used in science class. I understand all the adults at the family gathering had to have a look at it, too.

The product was easy to order from Barnes and Noble but it took almost 2 weeks for delivery! Not only was delivery slow but I was unable to track it using the assigned tracking number and I was never e-mailed that the product was delivered as they promised to do. The kit was wonderful and the kids are having a great time exploring new ideas!
