This is really a great puzzle! It's a little too tricky for my 18 month old (even when I give her the two correct pieces) -- but she loves to pull the "peekaboo" tab to find the missing baby animal (and the pictures are adorable). I think this is really a puzzle which will have so many uses. At the 18 month age, it's great just to look at the pictures and pull the tabs. When she's a little old, I will pull out just 3 sets and have her match them. For an older child, it will be even better -- as it's actually quite tricky to find some of the matches (as you're matching the mom animal with her habitat -- and there are several in the jungle with similar habitats...) When you make the right match and pull the tab, she is reunited with her baby. There are a few farm scenes, some "suburban" scenes (dog in doghouse), and some jungle scenes. It's really my favorite puzzle so far. It's cardboard, but seems very sturdy. We've had it for 3 months and nothing has been ripped or bitten through...and that's saying a lot for us. HA
