I got this game to use in my classroom for a group of students working to improve number sense and 1:1 correspondence. The game is cute but not babyish, and easily modified to fit the needs of the players. Players are required to count nuts on trees and nuts to match. I have seen an improvement in identifying without counting. Of course they love it when someone loses all their nuts.

Overview

So do you want to hop or do you want to stop?Players roll a die and move their squirrel from tree to tree to collect nuts. If their squirrel lands on an empty tree, they lose their stash. Should they hop or should they stop? The first player to collect 12 nuts wins the game.
