    Kit Doesn't Contain Complete Instructions

I got this kit for my sister, we set it up according to the instructions, and waited, and waited. Nothing happened, even though it was very sunny the day we set it up and several days after. I finally emailed the company and they sent me a word document containing "helpful hints". Without those hints your triop eggs will only hatch if you live in a very hot climate. The kit's instructions do not tell you to:
    - heat the distilled water up before adding it, the eggs will ONLY hatch if the water is 70 to 80 degrees.
    - the triops life span pretty much depends on how warm you keep them, and making sure you don't over feed them.
    - The 2nd half of the eggs should be raised in a separate tank so the larger triops don't eat them.

I'm going to try helping my sister heat the water up so they'll hatch, but honestly this kit requires more work than it looks! Only buy this if you live in a hot climate, or are willing to set up a heating lamp.

    A Creepy Project

The little buggers grew but they are really gross looking and they dirty the tank really fast too. My mother hated the things. They also eat each other. But my sister liked this project and liked watching the buggers grow; she got really attatched to them. We had two that got huge but they died because we tried to clean the tank and add fresh water, not knowing it would kill them. I'm only giving three stars because the dang things were so gross.
