    It definitely does the trick

    I love Melissa & Doug products, and like most of their stuff it's very attractive and feels like it's sturdy materials and construction. I got it for my 5 and 6 year-old to share and I get the feeling they'll get years of use out of it.

    Downside: Though the tightly woven mesh keeps bugs in, it makes it a little difficult to see in if we don't have the right angle or light. Also, the lid is a little difficult for me to get off, and I don't think little hands can do it. My kids can't.

    Nice and sturdy.

    My kids love this bug house.....the lid is a bit hard to put on but kids eventually figure it out.

    Snake Bug House

    Really cute for your little outdoors man. It has only one snake in it. Would have been nice if it had more. You can buy a bag of 5 snakes to go in it for another $6.00. Also, would have been nice if all the blue parts had been of heavier plastic, or better yet .. steel. Still, I think my little grandson will enjoy it.
