    More fun and challenging!!

It's so much better then the old Scrabble. The game lasts longer, you can spell more words. Overall it's just more fun.

Nice SuperSized Board, but Poorly Made

Pros:Liked the large board size and additional letters
Cons:The board is not sturdy; especially the connections where the board folds in half; the metal rollers that make the board spin are not as free moving and tend to stick inside its connection to the board; therefore, it may scratch surfaces.

    A vast improvement

This makes Scrabble an even better game than before. The boards ability to be moved is fabulous, putting the board on little ball bearings is an upgrade that almost ALL board game makers should consider. And now having 200 tiles is great. I love it!

    Board tends to come apart

It is great playing with more letters, but the connections at the ends of the board comes apart easily.

    Super Scrabble Deluxe

Nice set, although the board is a little chintzy. Doesn't lay completely flat. I would expect it to for this price.

    The board is flimsy

I LOVE the large size board and the 200 tiles and the fact that the game lasts longer. However, the Diamond edition is ideal with its own carrying case and a place for everything. This board is FLIMSY and I am so afraid that it will crack in half and $50 will be down the drain! Once the design defect is fixed, this will be a perfect scrabble game.

OUR OPINION OF DELUXE SUPER SCRABBLE

For the most part, the board is satisfactory- the raised grid is very helpful of course, but that can make getting the tiles out a little interesting. There always seems to be one tile that makes a run for it when you dump them out.
The bead style rollers are not really able to glide the game board around easily. We much preferred the "lazy-susan" type swivel board in an earlier version we had of standard Scrabble.

    Big Board equals Big Fun!

This may take longer when you only have 2 players, but was just what the doctor ordered when my daughter was home sick with the chicken pox. The possibilities are endless.

    Super Scrabble is SUPER!

This game was a gas to play! It has a huge board, more tiles and swivel rollers on the bottom of the board. I love how there are grooves on the board to keep the tiles from sliding. The game lasted a long time. There were five of us playing on the 4th of July, and it was soooo fun! What an improvement. I always felt like this game needed a bigger board and more tiles. Wa-la! So be it! This is a must have for scrabble lovers!

    Poorly constructed and cheap materials

When we first opened the item we were very excited because we absolutely love playing Scrabble and loved the fact this was an extended board, but was disappointed when we opened up the board. The top surface of the board is made of cheap plexi-glass type material and because the center of the board is made to fold, the plastic doesn't quite line up making it an even smooth surface when open. Not sure if all of them are like this (maybe I just got a dud), but we weren't able to play the game because the pieces in the center just floated on top and didn't secure inside the designated "grooves". Also, the "swivel" board isn't as nice as the previous deluxe version, like others mentioned - it's more like screws that poke out of the bottom and you kind of have to "turn" the board carefully.

Honestly, I'm not sure how Hasbro let this even hit the shelves after going through the quality-assurance test. For the price of this game, you're better off getting an older version with the true swivel/spin board if it still exists. Luckily, B&N is kind enough to issue me a full refund after I ship back the game (they're mailing me out a pre-paid shipping label as well).

    SUPER GAME

This board is a vast improvement over the cardboard version of Super Scrabble which folded into 4 pieces, wouldn't lie flat and couldn't be turned or the tiles would fall off. The sturdy board and plastic indentations solve these problems. However, the ball bearings on this version do not turn all that well so you have to rotate the board carefully. One small tip to the designers ... it would be nice if the tile racks listed the number of available tiles of each letter (as in some versions of regular scrabble). Otherwise, I am pleased I purchased this newer design that will provide many hours of enjoyment building longer more complicated words.

    Super Scrabble Deluxe Edition

My mom owns an original Scrabble games from 1949 and we still play on that one. I purchased the Super Scrabble Deluxe Edition and what fun we all have playing it. This is a GREAT game, we play for hours, you can make so many more words. There's more spaces to put in your words and the scoring really adds up - there are quadruple scorings. I take it with me when I visit family and friends. It is also nice that you can rotate the board so that everyone has that advantage to see the board and words upright, instead of having to read it sideways or upside down and when you turn the board, the tiles don't shift or fall out. I recommend this game to anyone. The wooden letter tiles and holders for the tiles are smooth, nice to handle; there is a bag to hold the tiles in, which is great - I use it to hold all the tiles in it while we play the game - grabbing them as needed. Also included is a pad for keeping score which is nice to use.

    Scrabble on Steriods!

If you enjoy Scrabble, then this deluxe version is am even better and more challenging. Imagine having two "zz"'s - thats great for PIZZA!!

There are lots more letters, and more squares. Now, you can even get Quadruple value on your words.

This is a full size board thats folds in place and swivels.
Unlike a previous version, this board has an incised textured board so that the pieces fit in place and do not slide around.
Once you play this version on this board, you won't want to go back to the original version. One word of caution!!! THe game takes longer to play and the scores can get really high!

    Enjoy Super Scrabble!

Cheap design and poor physical construction

Super Scrabble Deluxe Edition -- it is more complex than regular Scrabble, and the product is higher quality that "standard" Super Scrabble, but the product is still poorly designed.

Compared with "Deluxe" edition of regular Scrabble from years back, this is clearly designed to maximize profit, not maximize years of enjoyment. The board has no real turn-table, only non-functional exposed ball-barrings poking through the plastic bottom, and the hinged board is obviously a weak design -- it will break much sooner rather than later. Fit and finish of the board are also pretty rough. Other points of cheapness: the scoring cheats provided no longer have the blank board printed on their backs for "saved games" to be recorded.

Yes, the game works. Unfortunately you might just feel disappointed by the product the whole time.

Super Scrabble - You'll need some time to play it...

It's Scrabble - no mystery there. It has twice the letters and a larger board, which lends itself to more playable areas. The only tweak I might have made to the game was pulling 9 letters instead of the traditional 7. With double the amount of letters, it takes a long time to play. Other than that, the quality of the board and letters are still uniformly good. Excellent entertainment on a winter night in front of a fire...

    Super Scrabble Wahoo!

What a wonderful improvement over the old board game. Our family just loves this new one. More characters, and the tiles never slip out of place. It is a real joy to use. Buy it! You won't regret it.

    Super Scrabble

The family really enjoyed playing scrabble over the XMas holidays. The board is designed to hold each piece as well as rotate, which makes it easy to use. I would recommend an updated dictionary. It will save some arguments. LOL.
