Gave this to 4 1/2 yo niece as gift. She and mom absolutely love it. Very sturdy, colorful, girly. Continues to engage her months later, since it allows full creativity. Great value too - better than Tinkertoys. This though is plastic - not wood - which is what I was expecting. Fine by us though.

This was exactly what I was looking for, my 3-year-old really enjoys this. I had been searching for a building toy, but something with the girly theme and colors that I knew would really engage my daughter. She likes conventional legos and tinker toys, even Lincoln logs. However, she really feels like these are hers, what with the fairies, flowers and conventional pinks. The directions are clear for her to follow and provide steps to make a variety of things, such as swing set, car, picnic table, etc. The pieces need a little strength to put them together so they are good for her little hands to work on. Definitely something an older sibling could help with as well.

I liked the idea of her having a building set that would appeal to her femininity. According to her mom, both she and my almost 6-year-old nephew play with it for hours! A big hit!
