I bought the night light sea turtle because my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter was going to be staying at my house for 5 days. She loved it. She really wanted to sleep with it but I told her it had to stay on the bureau. Each night she would turn it on before bed so she could see the "stars and the moon". I would definitely recommend this item. Also, it was shipped within only a few days.

My 11 year old granddaughter, who has always been intrigued with natural science topics, became interested in astronomy over the past year. I bought the Twilight Sea Turtle for her to use in her bedroom as a birthday gift. She loves it! The display of constellations is a great visual, "realistic" compliment to the books she's been reading about stars.
Although the light patterns only show a few of the best known constellations, they are fun to identify. And by facing the turtle in different directions and changing the placement in her room, she has experimented with mimicing the movement of the stars through the seasonal skies.
Part of the fun for my granddaughter has been introducing the night sky to her friends during sleepovers. Even the girls who are not especially interested in the science enjoy the color and the effect of the lights on the ceilings and walls. And the automatic timer that turns the lights off after 45 minutes is a great signal that it's finally time to go sleep! The Twilight Sea Turtle was definitely a worthwhile purchase.

You will not be able to tell one constellation from another, but the toy does the trick - baby falls asleep while watching the stars. I am happy with this toy.

The toy is excellent, it looks very nice when on during the night, but also as a regular soft toy. My kid quickly picked up basic facts about endangered species and ways we can help. My chief remark, and thus one star less, is for poor representation of constellations. It is difficult even for an experienced grown up to delineate Big Dipper not to mention other star constellations. One more remark goes for great dependency on distance from the ceiling. To get most out of it, you must place the toy on predefined distance which is on time difficult. All in all, I recommend.
