We have two other toys that project the stars, but neither works well. The Twilight Turtle fills the ceiling with a field of stars. It looks great. Maybe not the best for teaching constellations, but it makes the room look great in the dark. Timer shuts off after about three quarters of an hour. Has been dropped and stepped on many times with no problems. Soft enough to set on the end of the bed. I was skeptical when I saw it but think it is really great.

It's a great relaxation tool at bedtime and is interactive as you and your child look at the stars and identify the constellations. Soothing, yet educational. A great gift idea.

I bought this for my nephews, they really seem to like it. They seem to use it more as a regular toy than a night light, and they usually are little calmer with this toy compared to many of their other toys.

Perfect for children (and even adults) of all ages. Soothing and relaxing. There are three colors; blue, green, and amber. Also, after 45 minutes it shuts itself off. I purchased this for my disabled son and it relaxes him instantly. Would be great for children with Cerebral Palsy as well. A lovely idea for a new baby gift, or for children who are afraid at night. By far the best present my son got this holiday - it is his favorite thing.

I decided to buy this recently when my 2 year old started having issues with going to bed at night. The first night that we used the turtle, he fell in love with it. Now when it's bedtime, we just ask him if he wants to see the stars, and he's ready to go. I gave it 4 stars because one of the color options, Amber, doesn't show up very well on the ceiling. Other than that it is a wonderful product that I highly recommend.

Twilight Turtle is aorable, works great as a kids night light, and the stars are projected very nicely in a darkened room. Very cute!!

Really Cute!! I purchased the turtle for my new grandchild. I would put star stickers on the ceiling of my kids rooms when they were little and the turtle does the job without the mess. To get clear stars it should be put on a high dresser or shelf.

Your child would love seeing stars when they go to sleep. There are really constellations that your child can see. The most visible ones are the big and little dipper. The best thing though is it comes with a star guide.

This is such a great idea. My nephew has one, and we just got two turtles for my 3 and 5 year old nephews and the lady bug version for my 3 year old niece. They all adore it! It has very soothing colors and the stars and moon project on the ceiling. It's the perfect 'night light' and stays on for 20 minutes at a time, so they can fall asleep and it shuts itself off. I think it's a great idea, and I want one for myself!!

I haven't seen it at any local stores so it is nice to give something different. It is very bright in a dark room-the stars show up nicely. It is nice for an older child too, because you get a book about constellations. They have a ladybug version too. Both my kids have them (5 years & 7 months), and I have given 6 or 7 away as gifts.

Having always loved looking at the moon since an infant, he found it very comforting to have the moon in his room while going to sleep. The other was for a friend with a newborn. The baby's father thought it the coolest thing he had ever seen, especially as the baby's room is decorated in "sea/surfer" theme. An infant can enjoy just gazing at the moon and stars, then learn the constellations when older.

My 6 year twin daughters have been afraid of the dark for the last 2 years. They insist on having their little bedside lamp on all night long. Since we've been using the Twilight Turtle, the little lamp has been left off and the only light they use is the turtles soft glow. It's wonderful. We even took it on a camping trip and it lit up the inside of the tent beautifully.

It took a period of adjustment...my 1 1/2 yr old grandaughter was afraid of the stars shining on her and the walls at first...so we had her play with it during the day time as just a toy...she now takes it to her room at night..loves it..especially the blue light..and I suppose she meditates (:^) while she watches the star lights and falls asleep ON HER OWN !!!...Took a chance on the previous reviews submitted on this product..they turned out to be right...

I have an almost 3 year old daughter. She loves this turtle. It helps her feel more secure at night in her room. She loves to find the moon shape. It also projects real contellations on the ceiling, which will be fun for us to find.

purchased this for my two sons age 5 and 7. It lights up the whole room with soft light on the walls and ceiling. The boys think it's great and I am going to purchase another one since they both want it at bedtime. It is soft and cute and the auto turn off feature is great. My 7 year old even took it to school on bring a stuffed animal to school day. I was a little worried about it coming home! I would highly recommend this toy. If my 5 and 7 year old like it, I'm sure the younger kids would love it too.

Showing the stars on the ceiling and walls around baby's crib is so comforting. It's like having your very own planetarium in your home. Like camping out under the stars with your child.
