My 2nd son directly assemble it the moment he receives it but he got one gear reversed so it didn't work at first. We then test the rotor, the battery holder, wires, etc but they all work well so I told him to disassemble and reassemble and see where it has gone wrong. After he figured out the reverse gear, it works nicely and to quote him "the led shines brighter compared to using battery". So this is a very good kit, with one minor flaw: the plastic material is too fragile, one can easily breaks it accidentally, which I did (fortunately not enough damage to make it stop working)

I bought this for my grandson who loves construction toys. I know he will love it and learn more about wind power. I had to laugh, at his birthday party, because his dad picked it up after of the present opening to see what fun they were going to have building!
