Good Starter but some key books are missing

Yes, this is a good buy. By all means, get this book as a great starter. All of these books should be in your library. But I have a few issues.

Why isn't any of John Maxwell's books listed under leadership? This is an absolute error! The 21 irrefutable laws of Leadership is a prerequisite to any leadership book.

Now, that is one example of a critical error. But this is a good book. You will find that you will need to add some more to this list. They need another revised version of this book soon.

    Good book and very informative

This book is very informative, to the point and a great resource. For me, it was not something I would pick up and read cover to cover. I used the table of contents more to look up certain areas of interest for me and then would evaluate reviews based on those interests. I have read four books already that were a result of purchasing this book and have been pleased with them!
My only negative about the book is that it was a little bland however a review of other books is difficult to spice up! I am a Jeffrey Gitomer, Larry Winget follower so I like very lively material however this will produce that material if used.

    I Also Recommend:

I Would Have Liked It Better If I Was In It.

I'm a big fan of "lists" and an even greater fan of business books. Therefore, the combination of the two were right down my alley. As a published author of a business book in June of '08, I was sad to see that my book was not included among the 100. Oh well, maybe the next one.

Even so, it was still a very enjoyable read and will help me make better buying decisions. I have wasted a tremendous amount of money and time through the years as I waded through business books that were neither well-researched, useful or relevant to my needs. I won't mention any titles but you have probably read the same ones and wish you had your time and money back.

I also appreciated the authors' inclusion of non-business related items. As a person that has written several Amazon guides, I have continually included non-business related books and movies in my human resources guides. Also, in my afore-mentioned business book, parts of my research was based on non-business items. As we all know, you can mine a lot of business gold out of certain movies and books that were not designed specifically for that task.

I hope you find this review helpful.
