I want a basic betty crocker type cook book with all the old classics converted for me. Most of what I found in this book where odd to say the least. I got very frusterated. Not much for 1,000 recipes that I would use. What happened to a good plain cream of something soup besides tomato so I can make our favorite casseroles? Of all the books I've checked out of the library in search of a gluten free cookbook for my personal library this is way to exotic for my tastes! The best page in the whole book for me was xvii where it explains how to convert a cake recipe and xviii how much thickener(different types and thier uses) to replace 1 tablespoon of wheat flour. Otherwise I have had more luck finding recipes similar to mine on line. I need something that touches more on what is the main course without it being unique and unfamilar.
