So So Book
I've developed in VB 4,5,6 using mainly Access DB. I wanted to learn VB.NET and wanted support for Access and maybe SWL Server. So I need an intermediate book that would get me kick started with VB.NET. I found this book too peice meal and not enough info on DB topics. After purchasing my third VB.Net book I found a good one. If you have the same need as I have, I recommend you get Visual Basic.NET Black Book. It is very well organized with the right depth.

Great book!
This book does an excellent job of covering what you need to know to be productive with VB.NET. It covers a really wide range of topics, and it covers them very well. Also, the sample applications are far more real-world than typical book code.

Excellent
The number of examples in this book is fantastic. The book has a ton of excellent sample applications that can be worked with right out of the box. I found the book very useful as it covers all of the major scenarios I was interested in as a VB developer. What was also cool was when I got the book it was actually close to 600 pages not 400 as the page shows.
