    Neuroscience and Pharmaceutical Chemistry--Made Comprehensible!

Know anyone on medication for ADD, Alzheimers, Parkinson's, Bi-polar disorder? Ever wonder what the balance is between scientific research, commercial versus government funded grants, and academia? Have you ever worked in a research lab? Then this book/audio book is for you!

Imagine learning about all the above issues from an engaging, page -turning (or disc changing), comprehensible narrative. The author did an excellent job of packing in a lot of information, a lot of suspense, and good explanations into a story that is never patronizing.

The Audio Book version was especially easy to understand, because the narrator pronounced all the big words, such as the names of enzymes.

More than I expected from the title.

I picked up 101 Theory Drive expecting the type of science popularization found in feature articles in Scientific American. What I got was an excellent background and explanation of the mechanisms of memory intermixed with an exciting character portrait and history of Gary Lynche who drove the discoveries and publications of discoveries made by him and his team at the 101 Theory Drive lab. I had a hard time putting the book down. Each step uncovered by the team was as exciting as any cliff-hanger in a mystery novel.
