    Good overview-easy read

It covered alot of ground and gave an good introduction. Many chapters ended abruptluy and there was some overlap but overall a good light read for anyone interested in a high level view of the history of their ancestors

Wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be.

I read some of the book and to me it seems like there is very little information that I don't already know. Everything seems summerized and most of the information in the book I already learned about in depth in magazines like National Geographic and Smithsonian.

There are a LOT of interesting facts listed in this book, a lot of them even I didn't know! Guinness and other staples of Ireland are explained and even the history of those staples are brought to light! A MUST HAVE for anyone interested in Ireland, especially for those who want to find out about their ancestors homeland!
