I found it very helpful!
I liked the recipes, and I didn't find them any more time consuming than the cooking I did prior to dieting. I do most of my cooking on weekends, then store the food in tupperware and take to work. Considering the calories, I found the food tasteful! You have to remember the biggest fact about losing weight - you got to cut calories, and 1200 calories is the most helpful plan for me.

Eating Well
I got this book to make it easier to make healthful meals. The book is good. But it is a bit lacking in flavor. Meaning I wish I had the zeal to make these recipes. There is no appeal to go out after reading the recipes to make the dish. No photographs to appeal to this foodie. The good thing about this book is that there are menus so you can plan your entire day or week with meals. I have made a few of the meals nothing to write home about.

A must read for every household.
I found this book to be very accommodating and upfront with regards to which ingredients to use for each recipe. It was very adaptable and anyone who purchases this book will be compeletely satisfied. It was very informative and the ingredients were down to earth and not out of this world, like many of these recipes can be. I would highly recommend this as informative and enjoyable to read.

A Diet With No Flavor
Come on! 350 calories for breakfast, 400 for lunch & 450 for dinner? Talk about flavorless! Here's my idea of a flavorful diet with maximum calorie count Breakfast: 517, Lunch: 533 Dinner: 600 & on the diet in the book you can forget about dessert.

NOT PRACTICAL
Most of the recipes in this book are horribly time consuming and have ingredients that you normally do not have around the house. In general, most recipes were too ritzy and really had no appeal.

Low-cal recipes you can actually taste!
I love this cookbook. Most low-calorie recipes either have no taste or skimpy portions. I have tried 8 different recipes from this book so far and all of them were delicious and filling. While the recipes can be time consuming to make, they are well worth it. I've found it easier to make the lunch recipes in the evening and portion them out in tupperware to grab when heading out the door to work.
