Sigh...does anyone remember 1st To Die written only by James Patterson? It had one continuous plot, fantastic story and character development, and chapters that were more than 2 pages. The Women's Murder Club meant something and they all worked together to solve a mystery. That was a great book! Ah, those were the days.

Now we have 12th of Never, probably named because that's the next time I'll read this book. So many stories that you can't really appreciate or enjoy any of them because there's not enough time to develop any of them fully and give the resolution any appreciation or real meaning. All the resolutions just seemed thrown together as if the authors didn't put a lot of time or thought into them.

My final thoughts:
1. Enough of the June storyline. What was even the point of her being in one scene of this book? That horse was beaten dead in the last book. Let it go.

2. Come up with one mystery and let the club come together to solve it like the earlier books. Any one of the mysteries in this book would have been fabulous if developed more and allowed to completely play out.

3. More Jacobi. I miss him not being around so much.

Lastly, I predict next year's title to be Friday the 13th. Next year, I'll look back at this and see if I was right.

    disappointing

Not nearly as good as previous books in the series. While some parts were very good, other parts were slow and awkward. But most disappointing was the ending. It was as if the authors didn't know how to end it and ran out of ideas so just through something out there. Am hopeful that the "13th" is back to the quality of earlier stories.

    Good story some surprises

I have read ten of the 12 woman's murder club and generaly enjoy them. This one had a few story lines everyone has to be doing something and it can get confusing. Some parts didn't make sense but everything did come together at the end with a couple of cliff hangers. Might not rush to read 13.

    Good, not Great

12th of Never is certainly not up to the standards of the past Women's Murder Club books. There were too many different story lines. I love Lindsay Boxer and her friends, but not so much in this one. Hope the next is better.

    12th Of Never

Just Stops!!! At least the book uses "Proper Grammar". Too, to and two were used properly. Three books in one ?!!!

Could have been a very good book. Please try again.

I found this book enjoyable, but not great. My biggest problem

I found this book enjoyable, but not great. My biggest problem with the story? SPOILER ALERT - If you haven't read the book and want to be surprised, stop reading now. In one of the earliest books, I remember that Lindsay was diagnosed with leukemia or some type of malignant blood disorder. When Julie was diagnosed, shouldn't that little nugget of information have been the first thing out of Lindsay's mouth? I found that to be extremely unbelievable.

    Not Sure? -Kay the Critic

I have never read this book before, but i am not sure if i should or not. I have no idea what its about. I looked @ some reviews saying it was not good and some that said it was good. I will rate this book a three star. Its not because its bad and not because its good. I think three stars is a good rate for this book if you have never read it before.
