I have read up on health and nutrition for many years. I have even seen other lists of "Super Foods" I thought it would be good to have such a list handy on my nook. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Some of Jenny Allan's "Super Foods" did match the other lists I have read (like broccoli, blueberries and lentils) Others on her list, (like Acai berries, kale, and Jerusalem artichokes) may be a good food, but not very common in the super market. Still others, (such as Wheat Grass, Chia Seeds, and Spirulina} are more a supplement to be found in bottles or in health bars.
A few "Super Foods" not even mentioned include Carrots, Cabbage and Black Beans.
The booklet only gave part of the information I was seeking. A few of the items listed I had never even heard of, and I am fairly knowledgeable in the area of nutrition.
