I have read up on health and nutrition for many years. I have even seen other lists of "Super Foods" I thought it would be good to have such a list handy on my nook.
Some of Jenny Allan's "Super Foods" did match the other lists I have read (like broccoli, blueberries and lentils) Others on her list, (like Acai berries, kale, and Jerusalem artichokes) may be a good food, but not very common in the super market. Still others, (such as Wheat Grass, Chia Seeds, and Spirulina} are more a supplement to be found in bottles or in health bars.
A few "Super Foods" not even mentioned include Carrots, Cabbage and Black Beans.
The booklet only gave part of the information I was seeking. A few of the items listed I had never even heard of, and I am fairly knowledgeable in the area of nutrition.
